Hello,

Probably your TV can avail warranty. verify your warranty notice.

However if this no warranty then maybe u can self tech your TV at your own risk.

The preliminary error of the TV is the PSU, maybe fuse is blown out or the resistor in it. you can open the Tv and test the fuse, regulator and the capacitor. but if this totally dead its most probable the power supply got dead.

Is the tv still under warranty? possibly a blown fuse if you don't get anything at all, you could inspect the power area, but be aware there are dangerous voltages inside.

Ofcourse unplug the telly... before attempting any repairs.

I do recommend takeing it to a experienced user or a local tech.

But if it still has warranyt, basicly if the tv has 2 or more years then the warranty should cover the fix.

4-year-old 50-inch flat screen made a loud 'bang' and picture went out. The noise was more mechanical than the type of pop or snap you'd expect if a capacitor blew. The audio is still ok.

Depends on the physical size of the cap; there are some larger ones in your set that would produce a 'bang' but you should also have gotten a whiff of the airborne chemicals then.
