I have already had to exchange my reader once because within six months of purchase it lost the ability to charge. I lost all the books I had purchased. I'm now having the same problem with my new reader, it's a PRS 600, is this common to the Sony's?

You may have a bad battery. These batteries also lose capacity over time and over the number of charge/recharge cycles.
In addition, many batteries need to be fully discharged about once a month in order to keep themselves calibrated.
Once you lose the ability to get a complete charge, you need to replace the battery.

To transfer books from a computer to the Reader, you must authorize the Reader to your account. Authorization links your Reader to your eBook Store account, allowing books purchased from the eBook Store to be transferred to the authorized Reader. You can authorize up to six devices to a single account.

1. Launch the Reader (eBook) Library software.
2. Log in to your eBook Store account.
3. Turn on the Reader. NOTE: For best results, we recommend that the Reader be fully charged before starting the authorization process.
   
4. Connect the Reader to the computer.
5. In the eBook Store pane, click My account .
6. On the Account Management page, under My Authorized Devices , click Manage Devices .
7. On the Manage Device page, under We have detected the following attached Devices: , click the Authorize this device button.

If the Demo mode is appearing on the Reader and you're not able to do anything in the Reader, it seems that there is an internal issue occurred with the Reader. However, since you've already performed soft reset and hard reset with the Reader, the service of the Reader is the only available options. The PRS700 Reader is covered under the Sony exchange program. This exchange is for the same or comparable model. Please follow the below mentioned link to get it repaired or exchanged from Sony:

However, if you confirm that the reasons are not those, then perform a soft reset. To soft reset the Reader, press the RESET button using a sharp-pointed object. Then, charge the reader for at least 4 hours. if the issue still persist, charge the reader by connecting the reader to a different USB port. You can try charging the reader by connecting it to the AC Adaptor.
However, if you did all those already, service of the reader mat requuire.

3. Now transferring the books to the Reader:

In the eBook Library Software, select the "Library" view - this is where you can see all imported files and purchased eBooks.

Click on one, or several, titles and drag the files from your Library onto your Reader Digital Book (the Status symbol will start spinning for the duration of the transfer).
Once the Status symbol comes to a halt, the transfer is finished.
Still within the eBook Library Software, select your Reader Digital Book to verify that the file(s) are on the device.
If there are titles you purchased that are not in your Library, click here for directions to download these books from your account section.

your Whirlpool has lost its gas charge , you will require a refrigeration mechanic to repair or if under warranty tell them to exchange it .

Could be any number of problems.

As a new phone, I suggest returning it to the supplier as "Faulty" since it will still be under warranty.

if you address book is on exchange server you can recover from it: create a new outlook profile using same credentials.

I would definitely exchange it for another if it's still under warranty. If your having all these problems within the first six months, chances are you just got a lemon and the problems will persist in the future. You might consider upgrading to a better brand name. LG (Lucky Goldstar) is a
South Korean company that manufactures larger appliances, refridgerators, washers and dryers etc. Just a thought, another LG will probably do ya fine though, I would certainly exchange this one out if possible.
