Midea Cube 20-Pint Smart WiFi Dehumidifier is stuck on 'Water Level 50%' even though tank has been emptied multiple times. How do I reset this?

If your Midea Cube 20-Pint Smart WiFi Dehumidifier is stuck on "Water Level 50%" even though the tank has been emptied multiple times, you can try the following steps to reset it:
  1. Unplug the dehumidifier from the power source and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
  2. While the dehumidifier is unplugged, remove the water tank and check for any obstructions in the water tank outlet or on the float switch.
  3. Clean the water tank with warm water and mild detergent, then dry it thoroughly before replacing it in the dehumidifier.
  4. Plug the dehumidifier back in and turn it on. If the water level indicator still shows 50%, try pressing and holding the "Water Level" button for 3-5 seconds to reset the sensor.
  5. If the issue persists, try performing a factory reset on the dehumidifier. To do this, press and hold the "Timer" and "Mode" buttons simultaneously for 3-5 seconds until the display panel shows "F". Then, press the "Power" button to turn the dehumidifier off, unplug it from the power source, and wait for 5-10 minutes before plugging it back in and turning it on.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be necessary to contact Midea customer support for further assistance or to have the unit serviced by a professional.

I purchased a 65 pint LG dehumidifer # LG LHD65EBL. This is the second one that I have had. I had to return the first one because it would not shut off when bucket was full. This one runs for about a...

First, tunr the unit OFF and unplug it for 10 minutes. Then plug it back in and turn it ON. It will automatically set at 70%. Press the - button and lower the humidity extraction level to 45% in increments of 5%. Once you reach 35% press and the - button one more time. Now the unit is set to run continuously, until the bucket is full and the unit turns OFF automatically or you manually turn the unit OFF. In case you have misplaced the Owner's Manual, I have included a link to it, that you can download and print. http://aic.lgservice.com/gcsc/dwn/main

Purchased june 2004- fan runs and compressor runs but does not sound to be working only idleing lights around the instruments are lighting but no numbers appear in the console dash Any...

Laverne, most of the time repairing a 7 year old dehumidifier is as costly (parts - if you can find them & labor) as buying a new one. As far as the problem you're having is concerned, it sounds like one of the sensors has failed. You may try the following, t see if the unit will reset itself.

Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF. Unplug the unit and leave it unplugged for 12 - 15 minutes. Plug the unit back in, turn On the Master On/OFF Switch and set the controls as you normally would. Hopefully, that 12 - 15 minute timeout, allowed the electronics to reset themselves and the unit will function as it should.

Hope it works for you.

We had a hose attached to empty into a drain, but the hose came loose. Now it won't run because it shows the bucket is full.

Was the hose attached to the bucket or directly attached to the inside of the humidifier?
If it was to the bucket, the hose may have slightly pulled the bucket out of place, disengaging the safety switch. Unplug the unit and wait 5 minutes. Then plug the unit back in. Turn it to ON and remove the bucket and carefully reinstall it. You should hear a "click" sound when it's properly in place and the unit should start back up,

Hope this helps to solve your problem.

Runs, but overheated, tripped outlet causing freezer full of rotten food

There was a recall on these - it depends on the age.  I bought mine in 2003 or 2004, and they sent a repairman out to replace a circuit board.  Call Maytag to see if yours was in the recall.
