What causes my Guardian RV 6500 generator to bog down when under a load?

Your generator looks like its a single phase 6.5 kva. two things that a must with your machine.
Make sure your machine is running at 52.5 hz and 230 volts to give it optimum loading capabilities

My LCDTV/DVDCOMBO , MODEL NO /3255HD ,Had a power surge from a 5.5 Kva generator , is there any internal surge protection if so were , if not which curcit board would be damaged .?

most likely the power circuits as there is no internal surge protection
have the set properly diagnosed and go from there
always use a power board with surge protection for all electronic equipment
as the voltage from a genset is reasonably well controlled , even at over rpms the voltage would not go high enough to cause damage for example a 240 volts running at correct rpms will only get to 255 volts uncontrolled rpms as the governor lever is fully open
however a lower voltage (200 volts ) increases amp flow and that is probably what did the damage

How To Interpret Or Read Nameplate On 3 Phase Motor?

The higher the voltage the lower the amperage, so advantage is its more cost effective to run it at highe voltages since power consumption is I squared x Resistance. The resistance will be the same but the lower the current the less it cost to run it.

I have a Yanmar 4.5 KVA Generator running into a Trace 2.5 KVA inverter/charger, the inverter requires 205-220volts to operate,once the inverter connects the voltage drops on the genny over a ten second+-...

try adjusting the gen voltage at no load to run at 240 volts
when the load comes on it will drop back to 220-235 volts
check the load output from the inverter as 2.5 kv is nearly 80% of the genset duty cycle
4.5 KV is start up KV and the duty KV is around 3..8 kv not the plated 4.5 kv
to get constant 4.5 kv you will need a 5.5-6 kv unit
if the current draw from the inverter is excessive , the engine may not have enough in reserve to over come the load and will not pick up the rpms
take the gen set and the inverter to a shop that has a calibrated load bank to test accurate power output to determine if the engine needs an overhaul

How many watts would you get from a generator rated at 11hp and 5.8 kva. thanks

kva = kilo-volt-amps

watts = volts x amps = va

Therefore, 5.8kva = 5800 watts

Generator electrical

On a 230 volt std hook up here's the way it is supposed to work. From black to white you should get 115 volts. From Red to white you shoudl get 115 volts. From red to black you should get 230 volts.

Concentrate on getting the correct output from the generator with the load to the house disconnected

This should be 115v (black to white, 115 volts red to white and 230 volts red to black.

On the load side (ie, the house connected) what are you using? 115 volt lights, etc on one side of the
230 volts, and some other 115 volt loads on the other side.. Are there any 230 volt loads. It could be
that one side of the 230 volts (ie, a 115 volt side is drawing a lot more current than the 2nd 115 volt leg.

Get back with me on just what the loads are botth 115 volt and 230 volt . also what are the rating on the circuit breakers.
