If you brought this machine new, then you should find a service manual under the display panel
You will need to remove the panel, Next to inlet valves you should find a maual in a plastic cover...

The drain pump is overheating. I suggest you do not try to use the machine until you replace the pump unit, failure to stop using the machine will result in the pump short circuiting and destroying the main control board!. Please go buy a new pump and fit it.

Hi there
That fault is the pump blocked error (no change in water level).
i have a quick and easy way to solve this problem.

first turn the machine off then tilt the machine back and lean it on something(a chair or wall), look underneath, in the top right hand corner of the plastic outer boul you will see a small pump motor it has a fan on it spin this fan and if it is hard to turn that means there is somthing stuck in the drain pump keep turning the fan and try to free whatever is stuck in the pump, then try the machine on spin again all goin well the object in the pump should come out with the drain water(doing this will not harm the machine) if the object is still stuck you will need to get the water out of the machine (bailing or siphioning will work) and tilt the machine back again and take the wires off the pump and there should be a white tab on the boul holding the pump on pull this tab and twist the pump anticlockwise about a quarter turn(you will need a few towels or a boul or bucket to catch the water) and it should come off exposing the blockage.
Hope this solves your Problem.

SOURCE: fisher paykel Washing machine stops spinning then resumes.

This sounds like it could be a faulty door lock switch. The switch can be tested for continuity using a multimeter. A lack of continuity indicates a faulty switch. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Machine will not spin or drain water.

I have a problem with my MW512AU. Sometimes it drains after wash cycle, but sometimes it sticks when it goes to spin, doesn't get up to speed, water comes on for about 10 seconds and shuts off, and it tries to spin again. If I hit the wash progress switch it goes directly to final spin and works ok. I then have to run a 2nd wash cycle to rinse the clothes. I also noticed a buzzing sound when I turn on the power point, which lasts about 3 seconds before stopping. It will come back on every 3-4 minutes for 30 seconds. This is with the machine power switch off. It powers on normally.

Washing machine not spining

You may have a problem with the rotor position sensor. This sensor is situated on the motor windings and should really be replaced by a qualified tech.
