Hi there,

If you still have the Sanyo remote, you just need to press the INPUT button on the remote. The channel search and some other functions are disabled when the TV is in video/AV/game mode.

If you don't have the Sanyo remote, but you have a Universal remote which you use with the TV, look for a button labelled INPUT or SOURCE on this remote and try pressing it.

If you don't have any remote for this TV or you are using a universal remote which does not have an INPUT or SOURCE button, please reply to me from within this page for further assistance and let me know the brand and model number of any universal remote you are using. There is no option in the menu for doing this, but there a couple of methods which work on some TVs

Hope this helps.

Regards,
BElectric

I am havingthe exact same problem and no longer have the orginal remote. I purchased a universal and it turns the TV on and off, the menu comes up with everything in re but the input button doesn't work. It is an RCA remote.

    Hello bkeys26433 -

I'd suggest trying some of the other Sanyo TV codes for your RCA remote control. You may find that the INPUT button works when using a different Sanyo TV code. Also, try pressing the CHANNEL UP and DOWN buttons on the front of the TV simultaneously - but don't hold them in.

Failing that, let me know the model number of the RCA remote control and I'll see if I can figure out another way. Some universal remotes need to have the INPUT button configured manually.

    Hope this helps.

I realize this is a really old thread but I'm having the exact same problem with my Sanyo DS13204. I have a universal remote from Rogers which I used to try and get out of the video channel which I'm stuck on, but to no avail. Help!!

I have an old sanyo t v and its stuck on video and we have no remote for it. I need to change the channel.

usually you can press a combination of buttons on the tv itself to change the input. However each one is different. So I can't tell you the exact combination. Try pressing both volume buttons or both channel buttons at the same time if there is no input button. then use the buttons as singles to navigate the menu when you access it.

My admiral tv 32 inc goj12390 dont have the remote control and i cant see the dvd on tv scren beacause is only on chanel 3, 4 and i can put it on aux or imput

This worked for my Admiral TV model GRD15272:

Using the buttons on the TV, go to the setup menu, and scroll to "editchannels" by pressing "setup" button until "edit channels" ishighlighted. Then, using the channel up/down buttons, go to channel 91and press + volume. This should add the video input2_bing.gif to your channels. 92 is S-video. It is helpful to have what ever device (dvd player or game console) hooked up and powered on, so you know when you are on the right channel, but it should be 91.

TV is stuck on video 1?

You probably have a replacement remote. It will need to be reprogramed to your tv. You should have instructions that you got with the remot. Otherwise call your TV repair man and he can probably "walk" you through it over the phone.

Sanyo stuck on video mode

Yippie, I figured out a solution that worked!!! I have a univeral remote from comcast, on that remote near the bottom left is a small button that says (input) tv/vcr, press that one time and whala!! the tv video screen was gone, I had to manually change the channel from the tv channel button on the unit. once I changed the channel to 3, my universal remote worked... the button is the second one from the bottom left... I was on hold with sanyo for a long time and just kept trying on my own, so good luck!!!!

Tv channels

Probably, at first you searched the programs in automatic way. And there were only 20 channels at that time. So, you only have 20 channels. You should try to search channel 21, 22, 23, etc, manually. If you can't set 21 on your program, then your tv set has only 20 programs.
