The washer screen says 5ud. wat does that mean?

This error code indicates excessive detergent suds occurred during the cycle. This could be caused by using too much detergent or not using High Efficiency (HE) detergent.
The washer will not be able to spin out water with the excess suds. When "Sud" or "Sd" is displayed, the washer automatically extends the rinse time to remove the excess suds. During this time, the washer pauses the tumbling and adds water for additional rinsing. This pause allows the bubbles in the suds to break. This pause and rinsing are necessary and may occur several times to eliminate the suds. This could significantly lengthen the time for your washer to complete the cycle.
If the problem continues, and the correct amount and correct type of detergent is being used, we suggest running a "Clean Washer" cycle to remove residual detergent that might have built up in the washer. Follow the instructions in your Owner's Manual for cleaning

its a suds sensor error. meaning tom much or the wrong detergent was used and it has clogged the wash cycle, you will have to try to run rinse cycles over and over to u clean it out if u can, some machines have an auto clean cycle for this problem, it is difficult to deal with as I have the same issue with one of mine and still not running right

is "SOME ONE" is using other than "HE" washing
agents in your HE machine...

Stop it... Read your owners manual.

You have a clogged pump.Remove the front lower panel to access the pump and clean it out.

I think the 5UD is SUD. It means excessive sudsing has been detected, and a suds routine has been started to reduce excessive suds. This routine will add time to the original cycle. I have had this on my display a couple of times when I guess I put too much HE soap in the machine.

Sud error is displayed when the washer is unable to drain, press PAUSE/CANCEL button twice to clear the display. After this please check the drain hose and drain pump filter for any blockages and make sure it is not clogged with foreign particles. You can also check the drain pump to verify that its working. Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today.SUD means suds as in soap suds. Are you using too much soap? Are you using high efficiency detergent? If your using the correct detergent and not using too much,Only fill to bottom line on cap and still getting sud error then you may have a failed pressure switch.

It is meant to be SUD rather than 5UD and it stands for 'suds'- too much sudding. Machines normally go into a mode to flush the suds out at that point. As a suggestion it could be you are using too many tablets/too much soap powder.
