The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Looking for a ac power cord for this camera

You only can safely use an original Canon power cord when you want to charge the batteries in the camera. That can be expensive. Why not buy an normal battery charger, to charge the two batteries outside the camera.
I know it looks convenient charging in the camera, but I charge all my batteries in external chargers. Is also much safer for the camera.

I have a cannon ixus 75 can i charge it from a laptop

Probably not, USB does not provide enough current to charge this type of battery, ergo Canon does not support USB charging. You can buy a third party charger and battery set for not very much and keep this camera working.

How do I charge my Cannon Powershot S750 battery using the computer ?

You can't. This camera does not charge the battery in the camera. You need to remove the battery and put it into the battery charger.

If you no longer have the charger, a replacement can be obtained cheaply from Amazon. I like the "Universal" chargers, which have adjustable contacts and can charge any of the small lithium batteries found in cameras and phones. These are available for as little as three US dollars. Mine will plug into a wall socket or a car cigarette lighter socket.

Will the PowerShot charge through the USB cord? I lost the charger

No. The PowerShots do not include the charging circuitry. That's why they come with a separate battery charger. You can buy a new charger from Canon, or a third-party charger at any reputable camera store. I can't tell you the charger model number since you didn't specify the camera model.

Cord

Does this charger have an AC cord that plugs into it with a 2-prong end on the cord. If so, you should be able to find the cord at most electronic stores like Radio Shack.

If not, you can buy a replacement charger on ebay or from Amazon.
