Fc-100V financial calculator can't get answer as a fraction, only as decimal

to save time, I would suggest switching calculators and also recommend using an online scientific calculator to reach your goal. If the manual for your device is bad, you can look into getting a new calculator. Thank you.

To change the output to decimal form, you can do the following:
Go to Math mode, then SHIFT, MODE (set-up), 2 (lineIO).
The answer will show in decimal format.

The BA-II Plus is designed for financial applications. It does not do fractions, as do some calculators intended for school use.

Sorry if that wasn't the answer you wanted to see, but there it is.

To convert a single result from fraction to decimal, press SD. To have all results come out in decimal, press SHIFT MODE 2 to select LineIO mode.

For converting answers in decimal to fraction or fraction to decimal there is a S<->D key above delete key.If the answers is in fractional form press this key and it will be converted to decimal form.

If the result is already calculated and displayed, press the [S<=>D] key It will convert a fraction or radical to decimal. This is always possible. If the result is decimal it may be converted to a fraction or a radical (Not always possible).

If the expression to be evaluated is still in the command line and you have not pressed the [=] key, you can force the result to be displayed in decimal format by pressing [SHIFT][=] instead of just [=].

More permanently. If you do n o care for fractions and radicals, set the Input/Outpout mode to LineIO. To do do press [SHIFT][MODE] to access the (SETUP) screen and select [2:LineIO]

I think the F-D function only works one direction from fraction to decimal. Decimal to fraction is a non trivial calculation that can have multiple answers so doesn't lend itself to a calculator feature.
