I seriously doubt the computer would left click by itself. I have worked on computers since the 70's and have not seen it. There could be two or more reasons for the left clicking. First, and mostly, I would suspect the mouse. I would get a wired mouse and see if it stops. If not, then I would check the keyboard. Some keyboards have mouse controls, and a key could be "sticky". By the way, if you have the original paperwork for the phone, I bet it would say "may cause interference with other electronic devices".

Press the Receiver button (and the lights will start
flashing.
Then if the Keyboard isn't working, press the small RESET/CONNECT
button on the back of the board to connect the keyboard to the
receiver.
If the MOUSE isn’t working, push the small RESET/CONNECT button
on the back of the mouse to connect to the receiver. Then they
should work okay.
Hope this helps. Bud

Hi,
ive had the mx700 for two years and im very comfortable with it.
I think you problem lies not with the mouse or the driver, but rather the mousepad.
Since the mx700 is not a lasermouse, but "only" optical, it still needs a decent pad to work flawlessly.
Ive had problems with these kind of mice using blank paper, magazines or tablesurfaces.
Try to get a real mousepad from somewhere (should be really cheap), that should do the trick =)
I upgradet to a razer diamondback later which is a laser mouse (1600dpi, while optical mice (with the red light) have 800dpi). Some ppl say that this is too much, and not needed (you can get even higher specs =) but i felt a world of difference, it just works everywhere! (except for mirrors and glas =)

Hello,
I have this same keyboard/mouse set and love/hate it when the batteries die. After you change the batteies, power on your pc, press & hold the connect button on the bottem of the keyboard first and then the connect button on the transmitter. Release them and wait for a few seconds. Repeat the same steps for the mouse.
When I have connection issue with this keyboard after new batteries, I have found most of the time the problem is the connection to the pc and/or batteries in wrong. Good Luck
