Replace the Ribbon Wire between the Mini DV unit and the lcd screen. Samsung wanted $136 to repair same issue for me. Screen started with colored lines eventually going to white lines and finally screen went completely black and stayed black. I replaced the Ribbon Wire after purchasing a copy of the systems schematics and repair manuel online. With total cost of everything i bought to make this repair I saved a little over $115 from what Samsung wanted for the same repair.

When i turn on the camcorder and open the screen it is all white and sometimes it has lines
and when i tryed to watch a video of what i recorded it has thick pink lines

The LCD doesn't work,in fuuly open lcd is black & 1/4 open it has colored line
