I have an older model RCA television ( but it's ot all the hook ups for today) and my dog accidentally ate through the cord, should I take it to a shop or just buy a used tv somewhere else & not even bother? curious....

Is the new cord/charger/transformer the EXACT same power specs? When your "dog ate your charger", it may have shorted out something in the Laptop? Was it plugged it when your dog ate it?

If you want to get its original model remote control; you have to contact the nearest RCA authorised service center at your town. You can't buy its orignal from nowhere else. A universal RCA remote control will work with it, but sometimes some buttons of it may not synchronised. So try to get its original model. Moreover, if by anyway this set happened to be in FPA lock, you cannot open the lock without the orignal remote control. A universal remote control, whatever it may be, won't work then. OK.

If you are going to hook up the DVD player to your TV through RCA cords, see the picture below.





Hook up the yellow RCA cord at the Video-in at the back of the TV and the other end at the Video out of the DVD player to get the video.

Hook up the red RCA cord at the Audio-in(right channel) at the back of the TV and the other end at the Audio-out of the DVD player.
Hook up the white/black RCA cord at the Audio-in(left channel) at the back of the TV and the other end at the Audio-out of the DVD player.

Red and white/black RCA cord is for the sound.

The 15-150 is not listed in the user manual. It tells you to use your universal remote guide. It says to try codes for a satellite or cable box. I used an older RCA remote (rcu300t) and found the correct code to use it. I used the Hitachi satellite box code 084. It works like a charm.

Ipods are not very user's friendly, using usb to hook up on your system needs a lot ot processing. The simplies way is to use a pair of 3.5mm - RCA patch cord, connect to AUX. or AUDIO IN jack

Hope the dog is well. Best to go to hardware store and buy a plug to replace yourself. Is it two wires, or three? Is it round or flat cable? Also if this is a continuos problem you might want to get a length of metal clad cable to put over the cord before you put the new plug on.

If you dont have rca jacks on tv then you will need to get a converter bob with rca jacks in and anti out to tv or youcould try using your vcr with the rca jacks on it and put rca cable from dvd out to rca vido in and audio in then hook up your anti cable out to anti in on tv.should work cam corders do.
