I want to block URL - Cisco ASA 5505 Firewall

not sure that router has that feature built in. you may want to get some parental control software to install on a computer to block sites.

Try this, using a hosts file is very effective

Go to Browser settings and enter the url you want to block and it will block the url from opening.

Go to A dva n c e d tab -> Filters then enter "facebook.com" in a "Website Blocking by URL Address" field. You can enter up to four URL addresses.You can aslo try the "Website Blocking by Keyword" field and just "facebook" there and see if that blocks facebook.

Step 1 Open a web browser and type the IP address of the DI-624M in the address bar (default is 192.168.0.1). Press Enter.

Step 2 The default username is admin (all lower case) and the default password is blank (nothing). Click OK.



Step 3 Click the Advanced tab at the top and then click Parental Control on the left side.

Step 4 Select Enabled below URL Blocking and configure the following:

• URL String - Enter a domain name (such as microsoft.com)
• Start IP - Enter the first IP address to apply URL Blocking to
• End IP - Enter the last IP address to apply URL Blocking to

Step 5 Click Apply to save the new settings.

Using your browser, type in the address box the address of the router. The usual address is 192.168.1.1. This will open the maintenance page of the router. Depending on the brand and the model of the router, locate for a menu indicating Access of Filter. You should see or locate a part that indicates URL BLOCKINg. There are 2 ways to unblock a site. First is to DISABLE the URL Blocking by clicking on the necessary check box of option box. Second is to delete the name of the site in the list of sites being blocked.

how to unblock URL Filter??..

that web address consist of some harmfull activities such as virus, spyware, ..... etc so it is blocked by web cops

Open comodo,click firewall tap on top,Click My blocked network zones,Click add and select New blocked address,Select A Host name,Enter the URL,Click apply.

Repeat for other addresses that you want to block.

this site could be blocked by your administrator..
