  • Connect the Samsung cell phone and computer. If you are connecting via USB, connect one end of the USB cable to your Samsung phone and the other end to your computer. It may take a few seconds for the proper drivers for the AT&T Samsung phone to install. If pairing via Bluetooth, make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your Samsung phone and start a search for devices on your Bluetooth-enabled computer by right-clicking the Bluetooth icon in your taskbar.
  • Launch Internet Sharing, found in the Start menu on your AT&T Samsung cell phone. Open the application.
  • Configure Internet Sharing. The status menu should read "Disconnected." Under the PC Connection setting, select the method you will use to connect your cell phone to the computer--USB and Bluetooth PAN are the choices. You shouldn't need to change anything under Network Connection, unless a network other than AT&T is showing on the display.
  • Start the Internet Sharing connection. On your AT&T Samsung device, press the Connect soft key. It may take up to 30 seconds for the connection to be negotiated, during which the status line may say "Check USB cable connection"; this is normal.
  • Connect the computer to the Internet sharing phone. If your computer and phone are paired via USB, no further pairing is needed. You will see the shared Internet connection as a wired connection in your Network and Sharing control panel on the computer. If you are connected to the Internet Sharing application via a Bluetooth personal area network, the computer must be synced to the phone. Right-click on the Bluetooth icon in the taskbar and select "Connect to a PAN" or similar, based on the version of Windows you are using. A list of all Bluetooth PAN connections within range is shown; select your AT&T Samsung phone. The PAN connection will be negotiated, and the Internet connection will be shared.

How to get it connected to the internet

phone a local internet service provider tell them you wish to connect to the internet they will then advise you that you need a modem. Either a cable modem , ADSL modem or a Radio Modem depends on if Broadband Radio available or needed. Then the router is connected either via the modem or has a built in modem in it.
Tell them what make model number of router you have and they should advise you on how to connect it to their internet network.

How do i set up my router msi

Is that a standalone router or a modem/router combination ? If it is a standalone router, in order to set up a home network to access the Internet, you need a modem (cable modem or DSL modem) which must be given to you by your Internet provider when you subscribe for Internet service. Your Internet provider has to provide instructions on how to set up your modem. A modem acts as a router too and has a WLAN port and a number of LAN ports (between 1 and 4). The WLAN port is where you hook up your modem to the Internet using an Ethernet cable. One end of the Ethernet cable goes into WLAN port of the modem/router and the other end goes either into a cable outlet (if your Internet provider is a cable company such as Comcast) or a phone jack if your Internet provider is a phone company such as AT&T or Verizon). To connect your desktop computer to the Internet, you plug it in any of the LAN ports on the modem/router. Contact your Internet provider for set up instructions for your specific brand and type of modem.

Hope this helps.

Trying to figure out how to use it as a modem for our laptop. I found a data cable online but I can't find a download for a usb/modem driver.

Hi there, There is a good chance that you won't need a modem/driver as the phone it's-self will be the modem, check if there is a modem/internet setting on the phone then connect it to your computer and try accessing the internet. Make sure the plan you have has either unlimited data usage or capped plan etc..
Cheers.

Modem

Assuming that Windows has recognized the modem, and has loaded the correct device-drivers, Windows can use the modem.

You'll need to find an Internet Service Provider that provides "dial-up" service.

You'll need to have a land-line telephone (not a cell-phone) with your local telephone-company.

Connect a 4-wire cable (not an 8-wire Ethernet cable) from the "line" port on the modem to the telephone wall-jack.

Then, follow the instructions given you by your Internet Service Provider to configure your modem to connect to their dial-up server. Or, telphone them, and their Technical Support staff will guide you through the necessary configuration steps.

Acer aspire 9410, cannot connect to the internet using dial-up

You have two different devices here. A modem and a wireless network adapter. Two totally different devices. It sounds like the modem quit working but the wireless network adapter still functions. I'm assuming that the modem is built it. If you absolutely have to have it you could buy a PCMCIA modem if your laptop has a PCMCIA slot to plug it into. You could also have a corrupted modem driver.

Use as a internet modem of lg kp110

You cannot use a cellular phone as an internet modem, as a cellular phone cannot be set to share connection and work as a proxy.

You need to buy a 3g usb modem, like a huawei , and put the sim card inside.

USB external modem

The phone connection would need to go through the blue tooth regardless of if you're using the phone connection or not. Check to see that you have bluetooth turned on and setup first. Then you'll need to use that to create the settings for using the phone as a modem. However, if you are using Windows on your Mac, you will need to make sure that your computer has the drivers installed to be able to both connect to the Internet and to connect to your phone. Once that is set up, you still need to go through the steps to use bluetooth to connect your phone to your computer, establishing a connection. There are quite a few articles about creating connections through your phone as a modem. http://mobileoffice.about.com/od/typesofaccessavailable/ht/bluetoothphone.htm
