Cleaning my fan on my toshiba satellite c655 i need to know how to take it apart to get to the fan

It will give you an idea what you need to look for to replace the keyboard.

It beats paying a computer store a $45+ bench fee, and it will only take you about 15 minutes as a novice.

Don't try to clean it; you could cause more extensive damage than just replacing the keyboard.

If you don't have the experience on disassembly the Toshiba Satellite c650 c655 laptop, we suggest you refer to the official maintenance manual firstly if you have. The Toshiba Satellite C655 does not have a built in microphone, but it does have a mono microphone jack.

There are different models of Toshiba Satellite C655 (about 9 models) and some have webcam and microphone built into LCD bezel (like Satellite C655-S5052 or Satellite C655-S5113) and some don't (like Satellite C655-S5068 and Satellite C655-S5049).

next to the F1 key and the windows key (2nd upper key and second to last key) are two screws, usually under some covering. unscrew and lift top edge of the keyboard towards the trackpad to lay face down. Undo the wire ribbon by lifting the grey or brown tabs and remove ribbon and keyboard. Then install the new keyboard by inserting the ribbon on the place. Lock down with the tabs and put the plastic prongs (close to the space bar) into the laptop body first, and then close keyboard onto the final position. screw back in and thats all.
