I have a compaq presario 7478, when I got it, the cpu already had windows xp on it, so I recently reinstalled windows xp, and I can not connect to the internet because I am missing the ethernet controller drivers as well as a few others, I am having a bit of trouble locating the ethernet driver, as I believe with this driver, I will be able to connect to the internet and have the cpu automatically find the other drivers that I need. I do have access to the internet via another cpu, and it would be helpful if I could locate the driver or a good alternate that would let me connect to the internet from the compaq at least until I find the other drivers. I really need this ethernet controller driver because the auto driver update will not work without it...at least thats what I'm assuming......please help!!!!!
