My 1997 Mazda MPV Hold light keeps flashing

There is a speed sensor for the transmission inside the speedometer gauge.
if the speedometer cable is broken the hold light will blink. indicating a trans
malfunction code and the transmission will not work properly.
do not drive too long without a speedometer cable.

I have a 1999 pontiac sun fire when I am driving sometimes my speedometer works and then it drops off do you know a fix.

does the check engine light come when this happens some vehicles when the speedometer stops working then the check light comes on does the engine change in the way it runs either at cruise or accelerating then this indicates a speed sensor in the transmission has an intermintant problem if there is no check engine light or change in the way the car runs then it is possible the problem is in the speedometer head or connections at the instrument cluster for the speedometer if the light is on then you need to have the computer checked to see if a code is set for the sensor,if so then that is probably were the problem is keep in mind it can also be a poor connection at the sensor,if this not were the problem is then it probably is in the cluster for the speedometer head or the speedometer head itself

Lost speedometer and overdrive light flashing

Its most likely the vehicle speed sensor. Its on the transmission near the output shaft on the passenger side. Check the connection first, if it's good, change the sensor.

1997 ford f-150 flashing abs light (flashes 15 times then stops solid and then flashes again 15 times) rear brakes shoes are at 50% no broken parts inside drum area. did notice that somtimes i would come...

Does your speedometer work ok? There is a sensor on top of your rear differential that provides a signal to both the abs and the computer(speedometer uses the signal from the computer) This sensor goes out pretty common.

1999 Windstar ABS/Traction/OD off light and speedometer

Its a faulty sensor switch on your brakes master cylinder. It leaks brake fluid into the wires that are plugged into it and causes a short in the circuit, resulting in a blown fuse that controls the AC, odometer, speedometer, cruise control, and ABS light to come on. This problem can also cause a fire. The fire can occur even when the vehicle is off. To fix this problem go to this URL - http://www.fordwindstarrecall.info/
