Usually, this indicates an overload condition. I have a Pyramid 35 amp supply that has no green light but uit does have a red light and an irritating little beeper that the instruction book says is activiated when power draw approaches 90% of rated output. (Why not call it a 30 amp supply if you can't use the full 35???) Enough editorializing. You don't say if the supply actually works, just that the light changes color. If it doesn't work at all, I would start with checking the diode bridge for a blown or leaking diode. If one is bad, it can output enough to drive an LED but fail anything else. If these are good, check the filter capacitor. If this is bad, the hum could concievably confuse the regulator circuit. Next, I would check what ever voltage regulator it has in it. I can't comment on specifics as there are many schemes that can be used. My unit, for example, is like a mouse driving an elephant. It has a small 723 regulator IC, (Aprox. 100ma output), controling 4 large TO-3 pass transistors driven by a 36 volt 40 amp transformer to boil it all down to an adjustable 12 to 15 volts.
The bottom line is without knowing if the unit is puting out or not and not having it in my hand to look at, this is the best I can do. I hope it helps.
Good luck.
Jeff

How do I hook up my Wii to my 32" Emerson lcd hd tv? I have my dishnetwork satellite hooked into the dvd player and it's hooked up to the TV. On my remote I don't see a "game" button like my older Emerson...

I found a better way and it works fine. I have a new 32 inch Emerson, with only one composit hood up ( which won't work with the wii) 2 HDMI's ( again does not hook up to the wii, the monitor hook up for PC, red and white ( yellow plus is not there it's for a stereo they told me), and the usb hook up ( which is more for pictures I was told by the company). The answer was to hook my RCA plus to the red and white under the composite, then hook the yellow into the green plug of the composite, and behold- my will now works fine.

Playstation wont start. light turns from red, to green, to yellow and then to a blinking red. what's going on?

The first thing that you need to thoroughly check is the cables. Most the times this problem arises because of the cables not being properly hooked up. Although this may sound very basic, yet it is something that most people tend to ignore.

Just in case the cables are properly hooked, the next thing that you need to check for is any damage in the cables. If you find that the cables are all right, then you need to check your TV’s resolution. These are some of things that you need to look for whenever you find your PS3 blinking red.

I am trying to install a RTH2310 but I do not know where the wires go. Brother in law took old Thermostat off and did not write down where they go. I have a white wire, a red wire and a green wire. Back at...

In most cases, the wires are used as this: Red=Power, White=Heat, Green=Fan/Blower Motor, Yellow=A/C. The other wires, like the one hooked to the yellow will be the condenser wires going outside. The thing I'm not sure on, is that Honeywell Thermostats usually have the terminals marked with R,W,B,G,etc. If it does, then the wires will be as color coded and just hook them back up that way. You can also test to see if those wires are what they are supposed to be by jumping the wires. You can start with red since that is supposed to be your 24v power. Jumper red and green, you should get the blower motor on, jumper the red and white, you should get the heat to come on. Same goes for a/c as explained above. Any other questions, I will be glad to help.

Well i attaching a four prong power cord to a washer and im looking for some help with the wiring configuration. (the red, green, white and black)

Hi, Red and Black are the hots. White is the neutral and green is the ground. Typically on a connector block the 2 hots red and black hook up to the 2 outside terminals and the neutral goes in the middle. The green hooks up to the chassis on the machine. There is normally a green nut to indicate where the green hooks up to. If you have any other questions please feel free to comment. Mike

I have a travel trailer with a roof top a/c colman mach111 and I hooked up a thermostate digital. The heat works but cant get a/c to come on. the termanials on hunter thermostate are G W Y RC RH

OK, the wiring that you should have in your RV is as follows: Red White Blue Yellow Green Gray.

This Thermostat will not work on this Air conditioner because the tstat you are installing is a 24V thermostat. The connections are as follows G = Fan, W = White, Y = Cooling, RC = 24V Cool, RH = 24V. The only thing that I can think to do is hook it up like so.

On the G Terminal, Hook up the Green wire from the wall. On W, hook up the White wire, Y, hook up the yellow wire. RC = run a jumper from the RH terminal, RH = hook up the red wire. If this doesn't work then you will have to go back with the coleman thermostat.
