My iPhone 3g battery runs out very fast, i think there's something wrong with my phone or battery.
What can i do?
My battery on my iphone used to only last a day when limiting my use. And when I tried to use it normally with all the apps and music and calling people it only went for 10mins and then turned off.
How I fixed this:
It's an ongoing solution. I charged it up until it said 100%, then used it all up until it shut down again. And then I charged it til 100% and then depleted it again. Repeat over 2 weeks and your battery life should get back to normal. It worked for me and now my iPhone works better than ever!

Fast draining iPhone battery is quite common for an iPhone. Actually, there are several methods to fix this problem. Read on to get some tips for your reference:
Method 1: Reduce screen brightness. As we all know, the brighter your phone screen is, the faster the battery will drain. Therefore, you can drag the brightness slider to the left to reduce the brightness of your iPhone screen.
Method 2: Activate dark mode. The Dark Mode feature has been included in iPhone since the release of iOS 13, which can save a little battery life on iPhone that with OLED screen. Navigate to Settings > Display & Brightness, and turn on Dark mode.
Method 3: Turn on low power mode. It is also a good idea to cope with fast draining battery issue by using the Lower Power Mode. This mode can help your iPhone to decrease background activities. Navigate to Settings > Battery, and toggle on the Low Power Mode button.
Method 4: Turn off background app refresh. There are various apps that check for new content and update automatically in the background. In fact, the background app refresh is quite battery consuming. Navigate to Settings > General > Background App Refresh, and click On to activate this function.
Method 5: Limit apps access your location. Fast draining battery can also be caused by apps accessing to your location for privacy aims. Head to Settings > Privacy > Location Services, and choose a certain app to select when Location Services can be applied. If you find the app never needs to know your location, you can just choose the option of "Never".

There is an issue with the IC that handles charging the battery and generating the different voltages the iPhone needs. Historically there have been problems with this chip so I am not surprised you are experiencing glitches with the 3G already. If the problems comes back it is most likely not caused by the battery, since the battery should not cause problems in the first year. If the battery has a manufacturing problem it will not recover spontaneously and you can take it to Apple. If you are out of warranty or unlocked your iPhone there are independent iPhone battery repair services that can open the iphone for you and replace whatever is needed, but they will charge for it.
Don't expect your iPhone 3G to have a battery life as long as the older iPhone, it has a shorter battery life, sometimes this could be a minor thing like an application that is draining your battery.
I had an application that suddenly closed, then my battery life was extremely short. I reopened the application, held down the home button for a few seconds, force closing the application.
I don't know why but this worked, i guess it reduced the "pressure" from my battery.
Hope this works for you.
