We have an Auction business that uses 2 work station laptops along with the server laptop that are set up to do the cashiering. They talk to each other with a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router. This setup is in a 20 ft. cashiering trailer on wheels. We are having trouble with the WLAN light blinking and then the work station laptops will lock out of the system and then we have to re-boot to work again. What would cause the blinking WLAN light.
The WLAN light will normally blink if there is data passing through. Most often if the problem is that you need a reboot for the router to work again you will need to update the firmware of your router. You need to go to www.linksys.com then click on the top right search then look for your model number then select the option to WRT54G downloads. Search for your model and then download the firmware. After that on a computer wired to your router go to http://192.168.1.1 through Internet Explorer. Click on the administration tab then click Choose. Select the file that you downloaded then click on Upgrade. That should fix your problem.
