How many times have you tried installing the software? If more than 3 times it's always better to for an L3_Uninstall First.
To do a Level 3 uninstall:
1. Insert Disc
2. Go to Computer(Vista, 7), Mt Computer (XP)
3. Right Click on the HP CD, Click Open or Explore
4. Look for Util folder and open it.
5. Look for CCC, open it.
6. Look for Uninstall_L3, Double CLick
Follow the on screen instructions.
The uninstall will prompt you to restart the computer once it's done.
7. When the computer restarts, try reinstalling the software and make sure you do it one by one.
In order for you to do that, On the installer when you get to the agreement page there will be f four links and then a check box initiating that you agree to the rems and conditions of HP. Before checking that box.
Make sure you've chosen what software to be installed first. To do that. On the fourth link. The one that says "Select which software to install."
Click on it and the only software that you want to lieave checked is the required driver. If you cannot uncheck HP Updates. That's okay.
Then click back to go back to the previous agreement page. Go with the installation.
8. Go back to My Computer or Computer.
9. Double Click on the HP Software.
10. Install the following Softwares.
Try Scanning again. I hope you follow this and I Hope it Works. :)
