The time to change the firmware to Spanish, there was the problem that the player was completely inoperative. is there any way this is back to normal? you need some special software?. if possible, please send the relevant firmware and software with which I can change again. thanks

How to update

Before updating the firmware, be sure to verify and complete the following procedures:

Back up all audio, video, image or data files stored in the player to a secure location before changing the firmware.

All contents in the player will be lost when you install a new firmware.

Close all active applications as well as all background applications, including all media players and anti-virus programs such Norton Anti-virus.

Disable the Detector application in Creative MediaSource.

To do so, start Creative MediaSource, click on Tools, Settings, and then Detector. Uncheck the box next to Enable Detector.

Close down MediaSource.

Ensure that the firmware download was saved into the hard drive of your PC, not the player itself. Otherwise, it will report an error message Unable to lock the drive.

To check for firmware version before the firmware download, please refer to the section How Do I Find the Firmware Version on a Creative MP3 Player

To update the firmware of a Creative MP3 player, follow the procedures below.

Download the appropriate firmware from http://www.creative.com/support.

While at the site, select a region to download from.

At the download page, make sure you select the exact model of your MP3 player.

You can also select your product and firmware from the list below.

Each firmware download is accompanied by a Web Release Note under Show Details.

To find out more on how to install a firmware, click on the Show Details button at the download page, or refer to the README.TXT file if included with download.

Connect your player to your PC and check that it is installed correctly

Double click on the downloaded firmware file.

A window will appear with instructions on how to complete the firmware update.

Sony BDP-S300 firmware problem?

DO NOT buy another player.

I work in an electronics store. All you need is a firmware update for your player. You can do this by going to sony's website and burning the appropriate files to a dvd. when this is done correctly, the player will recognize the disc and complete its updates as required. I have done this for several customers already.

You can then click on start and the firmware update will complete,,, DO NOT DISCONNECT DURING THIS UPDATE... it may take 2 times to complete this but it will work.... YEA!!!! WORKS with 2, 4 or 8 GB Models.....

Region code for acer aspire 5715z

I am affraid you cannot. You are only allowed to change the region code four or five times depending on the make of the player. Once you have made the last change it is set into what is known as the firmware of the player itself and cannot be undone.
I have known people do what is known as a firmware updtae and even that doesn't reset it.
I am from the UK and live in the Caribbean and for this very reason I have two DVD players for my Toshiba laptop which I change out depending on where I am.
You could try buying an external DVD player that works via USB, the only draw back with these is the USB connection sometimes isn't quite fast enough and you sometimes get a little stuttering during the film.
If you do decide to buy an external remember you will only be allowed to change the region of that four or five times as well.

Well, i finally change the firmware. In this phone this was not as difficult as in a older one that i had (no special cable is needed), and versions with a lot of lenguajes are free to download in the net. I used one that call "amin extreme elite C2". If you need to do so, please reed carefullythe "How to...", that it is writen in a few pages (i used this, but is in spanish!! http://www.comunidadmoviles.com/index.php ).

No Spanish Language, do I need firmware?

Hi,

You need to flash the phone with wotanserver. It isn't free but it also isn't too expensive. You need to flash the phone with language pack that includes Spanish.

Error with formatting

Its not a firmware update you are running, it is a recovery tool. The "application failed to read version details" error is because it is not meant for your device. You have a Rhapsody version and the firmware is different. You will need to call SanDisk for them to email support documents. SanDisk Technical Support 1-866-726-3475 If you are truly trying to format the device, change the mode on the device Settings>Mode or USB Mode, then try formatting again. Best of Luck.
