Model LHE 6400- the dryer does not tumble but the

Normal 0 Hi, UNPLUG the dryer. This model you need to remove the two screws under the lint screen. Now use a flat blade screw drive and insert it in the gap between the top and the front panel and pry the top up. Now locate and remove the screws on the inside of the front panel in upper corners. The front should lift off.
There should be instructions that came with the belt. I will try and explain how this goes on. The idler pulley fits in a slot right in front of the motor. Put the belt over the drum with ribs touching drum. Now, thread the belt through the idler pulley wheel and bracket and set the belt on the motor pulley. The ribs should rest in the grooves on the motor pulley.
I hope this helps you. If I can assist you further, please let me know. Please rate me performance so that others as well as myself will know how I am doing.

Accessing the igniter on a Kitchenaid Dryer

Normal 0 Hi, UNPLUG the dryer. This model you need to remove the two screws under the lint screen. Now use a flat blade screw drive and insert it in the gap between the top and the front panel and pry the top up. Now locate and remove the screws on the inside of the front panel in upper corners. The front should lift off. You will see the ignitor attached to the burner. There is a harness you can unplug to test it. If the dryer is not heating at all, before you remove the front panel, you can remove the cap on the front lower panel and start the dryer. Look inside the holw and see if the ignitor glows at all.
If it glows and then shut down before the flame lights, you will need to change the coils on top the gas valve, not the ignitor.
If the ignitor does not glow at all, you will want to test the thermo fuse before the ignitor.
Normal 0 UNPLUG the dryer! Remove the rear panel of the dryer and locate the fuse. It is white and ¼” wide and 3” long. It is located on the blower housing. Remove the wires and check to see if it has continuity. If it does not, you need to replace it. I know this is a lot of info but these are most common problems.
If I can assist you further, please let me know.

Remove front panel - no heat and buzzing sound

Hi, If the lint screen is at the top of the dryer, remove the screws located at the lint screen. Then pry the top by inserting something flat into the gap between the top and the front panel. Now locate the screw inthe upper inside corners and remove them. Now the front will lift up and release from the cabinet.
If the lint screen is inside the door, the lower half front panel will release and let you see under the drum.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

I'm trying to replace the door catch on the front panel of a Whirlpool Dryer model GEW9868KQ1. I've replace the piece on the door but can't figure out how to get the front panel off.

Hi, You shouldn't have to remove the front panel. Just squeeze the latch hard enough to remove it. I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can be of any more assistance.

Hi, just a quick question. How do I remove the front panel from my Whirlpool dryer, and with which tools? The tumbler is scraping badly, and I want to diagnose it before condemning the appliance. It's not...

Disconnect the unit from its power supply before servicing!
Most Whirlpool dryers are disassembled by:
1. Raising the cover of the lint filter retainer housing on the top panel of the dryer, (if this where it is located), and removing 2 screws.
2. Using a flat blade screw driver, slide it between the top panel and the front panel approx. 3" in from the corners and pry upward gently. This will release the top from the front panel.
3. Remove the 5/16" screw from the inside corner where the front joins to the side panel, (Repeat procedure on the other side).
4.If your model has a separate lower panel, remove it by using the flat blade screwdriver and sliding it in frrom the side and gently twisting to release the retainer spring clip, ( Repeat procedure on other side). Remove door springs. ( make sure your door is latched tightly 1st).
5.Loosen or remove 2-5/16" screws from under the door at each corner.
6. You should now be able to remove the upper portion of the front panel.

How to remove a back panel of maytag neptune dryer?

You have a choice for which side front door should be on this model. There are 4 screws on front door. Take all 4 screws and pull down the front panel. You will see two metal parts each side which holds top panel. Remove two screws and metal parts. Now you can push up the top panel.
