• You should also be able to use 4 AA batteries. Sometimes 4 AA rechargeable batteries is more efficient.

A 1:14 Mudslinger requires a 6 Volt battery. Not a 19.2 Volt. Now when you go purchase this battery make sure it says 6 Volt not a 6 Cell. Here is the style battery you need. http://www.all-battery.com/6vrccarreceiverbattery.aspx
Starting from the top left you can choose the first 5 depending on the shape of the one you have for the RC and the mAh you want. The term mAh indicaters milliamp hours. Basically how long the battery will last. More bang for your buck basically. But they cost more too. They will all function the same. But the ones with less mAh will run out of juice sooner and have to be charged. All these connect the same way from the same style connector. So don't worry about that. Hope this helps.

cells in batteries are rated at 2.2 volts a cellm so 6 cells = 13.2 volts
if you have a 12 cell battery that would = 24 volts
get a multimeter and check the voltage across the positive and negative terminals

all modern vehicles (except hybrid) have 12 volt batterys ,
6 cells @ 2 volts each .
There are different group sizes , for different vehicles ,
and fitment , but all are 12 volts , except as stated above.

More than likely you need a 12 volt model, very few bikes these days have 6 volt systems. I have used a Battery Tender in the past with good results, they do not last forever though.

More then likely one or more batteries are worn out..buy an inexpensive digital meter, harbor freight has them on sale now for $2.00...measure each battery if they are 12 volt type expect to see at least 10 Volts...if they are 6 volt type expect to see at least 4 volts...if one or more doesnt measue up...change ALL of them
