Sounds like a 'belt' inside the machine broken or faulty.

You must manually define the papersize and orientaion of bypass tray at the printer console or printer driver.
Then print bypass tray (e.g. Tray6 on our Xerox).

We have a WorkCentre 7655 that has been working fine for ages but is now causing some issues. A user who is running Windows 7 32 bit edition is sending files to print (using the secure print function) - the system is reporting they have spooled fine to the printer - but when they go and release the document they are getting (more often than not) about 16 out of 21 pages (for example) and then a PCL XL Error (Subsystem: Text, InternalError 0x50, Operator: Text, Position: 8564). I have another document that 9 times out of ten will actually crash the WorkCentre completely and cause it to reboot mid way through printing.

The driver we are using is the latest: "Xerox WorkCentre 7655 rev 2.0 PCL6"

As mentioned the user is running Windows 7 - the printer is shared from a Windows 2003 Server which has the same version of the driver.

www.xerox.co.uk, go to cusomer support then to suport and driver,
there put

• WorkCentre M123/M128 and then your operating system. From there you should find the driver package for the linux system

Hello ! This problem often occurs after a physical power off for a certain period of time. If you haven't done so, reboot the system by powering Off then On, using the white power switch. If not resolved, unfortunately the only solution is for Xerox to service it with a specially set up notebook, which contains a "Tanker" service menu. Parts may be needed as well. Hope this helps.

by replacing the drum unit or replacing the crum the code j7 will be cleared

You can go into the driver and set the magnification.
But I am going to be honest. Xerox will tell you that is within specifications.
But go to the driver and try adjusting the size there.

Some thoughts.

Envelopes won't print from bypass tray. Cause:
Extended tray is not set up properly for envelopes. Solution: Fixed! Did not fix. Enter tools "Login" 1,1,1,1,1 Touch buttons with the following names in that order: System Settings System Settings Common Settings Other Settings Scroll down to "Extended Tray" Next to "Extended Tray" it may say "Inverter" if it does go to change settings then change it to "Offset Stacking" Close out tools.
