You need a new dlp chip. The tiny Micro mirrors inside of it are getting stuck and there is no way of freeing them. You can either buy a new light engine which is very expensive or buy a new DLP chip and change it yourself. It takes about 30 minutes to do and is very easy. I have the DLP chip for $225 new. Other places will charge you about $345. [email protected]

Do you still have the chip?

White dots forming

You need to replace bad DMD chip - contact Mitsubishi for replacement bulb, if you have a local tv repair that can fix it for you, Mitsubishi will send the bulb to them. I just had this happen to me a month ago. Cost me $174, Mitsubishi wanted $225 to send out their repairman.

Rca projection tv

The white dots indicate a problem with the optical light engine---Parts for this set are very expensive and my suggestion would be NOT to repair it but replace it.

If you want some more information Google the model with "problems" to see what the common issues are fot this set

I have nec np200 and there's a lot of dots appeared on the screen. what seems to be a problem

I have 2 NP-200 projectors installed in a school which show white dots on a black background and black dots on a white background. This is caused by the DMD chip losing pixels. Only solution is to replace the chip, I'm researching now if that i an economical solution.

I have a samsung HLS4266WX/XAA about 3 years old with white dots.

This is a known issue with Samsung DLP sets. Here's a link to the solution:

White dots appearing on Samsung TV screen and multipling each day

It seems you might have an issue with the dmd board. Go to the menu, and if the dots still show on the menu, the issue definitely is with the dmd board but if they don't come up on the menu, the issue will be with the video board.

Little white dots on the screen

dirty lens, dirty mirrors, warped light guides, spider webs and mini-UFOs that fly across the inside can cause what you described.

but 6 months is pretty early for a cleaning but possible.

Blue dots

You have a bad blue LCD in the light engine. Replacement of the light engine is the only fix and it usually will continue to get worse over time
