hey guys could you please tell me , where can i buy a motherboard for the aspire 5520, mine just burned because of water..
Check if dvd drive will eject if not if it doesnt - try another socket if still gets nothing - change fuse in plug if same - try another power adapter (preferably from same manufacturer and model) If still doesnt get power try get new power supply unit from repair shop or get quote for cost to fix

When I turn on my Acer 6930 the screen will stay black but all f the buttons come n to show tht it is running. Nthing happens it is just a blank screen. an anyone help me with this issue?
Simply press the WiFi on/off key (it's the first key from left to right, between the "Power" button and the laptop's keyboard). A message should appear on the screen telling about the WiFi adpter's state (on or off).
Turn off notebook. Remove the battery. Press Power button. Notebook should start working. Wait for 15 secs. If the screen still blank press Power button and hold it for approx. 4 seconds until notebook is powered off. Then press power button again. Bingo, problem should be solved.
Pull The Battery... Unplug The AC Adapter....

Reinsert The Battery, Plug In Ac Adapter... Attempt to Power On..
Also Try Removing The Battery And Powering Up Using The Power Cord Alone.....
If Still No Power.... Remove and Reseat The Memory Modules...

Hi there. The keyboard toggle you are using is the correct one. Sometimes you have to hit Fn + F5 a couple of times to stay on there is no real set time. Make sure Fn + F6 is on so the laptop screen stays on.
can you go to bios? load default setings in bios, or optimized settings, then try... when something like that happens i usully pull out batery on mother board, than wait about few seconds and pul it back in... bu that is to much work. try above,, and let me know
Sometimes the function keys get depressed by accident and it takes away your display. Press the FN+F5 and FN+F6 three times each and see if your display comes back on.
