I have two 1210s, a mk 2 and a mk 5. When I let go of a record on my mk 2 it seems to take longer to catch speed compared to my mk 5, and feels 'slack'. Any ideas what this is?

You said one of your 1210's seems to be lacking tourqe? There are several posibilities. And none of them involve replacing a "belt". All of the SL1200/1210 series. Turntables are direct drive and do not have a belt. The motor's drive shaft runs right up through the center of the platter. No belt. Rather than going over all the possible causes and solutions, I am posting a YouTube link that spends about ten minutes on the subject. I am also including a separate link to a site that sells the original oil for the SL1200/1210's.
My 20 year old MK2's seemed noticeably stronger after cleaning and recoiling the drive spindle. Good luck. EW.

is your 1210 1200 lacking torque

Being the older model, the chances are that the drive belt on the Mk2 turntable has got worn and shiny with use. It may also have stretched a bit. If you are using the tables for 'scratching', the fact that you are holding onto the turntable when the motor is running is placing a strain on the belt that it is not really designed for. I would recommend changing the belt - you can easily find spare belts for sale on the internet

Civic speed and rpm issue

If it is a manual gearbox, your clutch may be slipping. If it's automatic, check the transmission oil level.

Can the write speed of the internal cd burner be changed on the tascam 2488 mk ii to produce a more accurate audio cd . if not how is the write speed determined .thanks Andy

The actual disc speed in the unit has nothing to do with the speed that a CD plays back.

Read page 68 of your user manual for variable speed and pitch setup and changing.

Techics sl-1210s m3 turntable spins back on itself

You have a fault on the quartz-lock speed control electronics. It may be a simple fix, it may be not.

It will require specialist investigation. A Technics dealer should be able to advise you, and arrange shipping back to Technics for repair if you decide that is the best thing to do.

Power

How long have you had the F-150? Has it always seemed to be short on power, or is this something new? I suspect it's the engine (need for 2 more cylinders!) I have a 90 F-250, 5.8 V-8, and I think it's lacking power if I tow or put anything in the bed. Fine when it's empty! 5th gear sounds normal, it's really only meant for cruising on the highway, and flat at that. Maybe we should compare gas bills, you might like that 6 cyl a little more. countrycurt0

Any movement recorded in HD mode is not clear.

HD mode images may appear to move somewhat stiffly compared with SD mode or DV mode images. This is because they are shot at a rate of 30 frames per second compared with the 60 frames per second for the SD or DV mode images. The movie is shot at 24 frames per second, and looks good. So HD mode can have the same feel as a movie material. For smooth movement during video clips, we recommend you minimize rapid-panning or avoid shooting fast-moving subjects. Should you wish to record more natural motion in the picture, we recommend setting a slower shutter speed, or changing the recording mode to SD or DV.
