My father-in-law just recently spray painted the inside of his microwave with whatever spray paint he had in his garage....is the microwave safe to use?? I have a 6yr old, a 6month old and am currently pregnant. Should I just not use it to be safe??

As long as the paint has cured and is not likely to "drip" or "flake" onto the food, that is normally covered anyway, I can see no problem.
There is no health risk as far as I can see.

Need to paint the inside of my 2001/240 v. Ge advanium what do you recommed

I wouldn't recommend painting it. The inside of the microwave is a box that allows microwaves to bounce around off those walls. If you paint the inside of your box you could have a serious fire hazard. I would send and e-mail to GE and see if they recommend anything that is microwave safe.

The paint in the bottom of my microwave is peeling badly so I scrasped and sanded the loose off. is it still safe and healthy to use

You can apply some ceramic paint on to the worn out portion so as the bare metal is not visible .
Please check up with the paint store for the paint non conductive ceramic paints which can be coated using brush or a spray gun.

Inside my Daewoo KOR-6Q27 microwave oven, underneath rotating glass plate, white layer (or paint) have piled off and rust have started to emerge. Can this problem be fixed or i have to buy a new one? Was...

I have painted many Microwave oven cavities. You have to sand down the pealed off rusted areas and completely clean and degrease. Before painting, I use laquer thinner as a cleaner degreaser. Fumes can be a bit strong but it has worked well of me. I normally buy an automotive spray paint. They have a lot of different colors and a lot of the import colors can really come close to the color inside the microwave. Spray on thin layers till you get good coverage and make sure you let it dry thoroughly before trying to use. The paint in a Microwave isi not a special microwave energy protective paint. it is only there to make it look pretty and protect the metal. So a good automotive paint normally works fine.

Peeling paint

You need to thoroughly clean it, then sand it smooth to removew all the loose paint.

Once it's squeaky clean and dry, you can apply high-temperature appliance paint, which is available in brush-on or spray-on form at big box stores like Wal-Mart, home improvement centers like Lowe's and appliance parts stores.
