Whenever i download something and try to open it, it tells me that file type not supported.. how to fix this problem please

What the phone is trying to tell you is that the type of file your pictures are in, is something it doesn't recognize. Each file has a name and an extension, like, "photo123.jpg". Check one out, and post the full name and extension. That may help us determine what the problem is.
No, a reset won't help. A new application might.

Molly As it says the file needs an application to open it, what type of suffix does it have on it by this I mean does it have either .zip, .jpg, .doc, .exe or something else on the end of it. This would identify what application you need to open it. Do you know what the file is you are trying to download? If you could tell me what type of file it is I should be able to help you.

First find the file applesynspyware.exe and delete it, then go to my computer/c:drive/windows and look for a file named prefetch and open it up. Highlight everything in the folder and hold shift down and press delete, everything should disapear from the folder, close everything and then restart, this should solve your problem.

well, if you cannot open one of windows components that means there is something corrupt with this component.

so you have two things to do

first download dial a fix from here
now you can run this program trying to fix as much as possible issues with the windows.

second you can do these steps (but requires the windows CD).
click on start
click run
type CMD and click ok
you will have a black window now and a cursor blinking
type in there: sfc /scannow
hit enter and there will be a scan that scan will fix any issues in the windows files.
