Have a Yamada DVR-9300HX. It has decided not to respond to anything! Remote or by pressing buttons on front. Unplug, then plug back in..it says 'hello' then sticks in the CVBS2 position. It won't even allow disc eject. HELP! It's needed for work! Is there a reset procedure I can go through?

Hi Kev Frey, Have you checked the mechanism for a broken or loose belting or possibly a broken gear teething. With Regards, Edmund

SOURCE: Does not respond

Thank you Tyrina. It worked. To reset it, when powered on you hold the "stop" buttom and the "power on" button simultaneously until it restes and powers down the system.

SOURCE: DVDR 3350H KEEP READING AND WON'T EJECT DISC

Look under the faceplate where the disc tray ejects and see if there is a small hole. If so, use a straightened paper clip to eject the disc manually by pushing it into the hole about an inch. If that works, then reset the power on the unit and try a nonrecorded type disc to see if the unit works at all.

Other than that, you'll have to take the unit apart to get your disc out.

Hope that helps...

SOURCE: rca drc8052nb only says ''hello'' on screen, can anyone help?

RCA DRC 8052NB does nothing but displays "HELLO"

Among the voltages available from the power supply is a 3-volt source. The first capacitor after the diode is a 1000 microfarad, 6.3-volt unit. There were no signs of leakage of overheating, but I changed it anyway. Voila! the unit came to life. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Mini Disc Not Working

Pull the power cord. Make sure the three-position switch with "REC/Standby/PLAY" is in the middle position, then plug the cord back in. Wait a minute, then press POWER. Now load a disk and wait 1 minute for it to read the Table of Contents (TOC). Either it will show the tracks, or it will say 'empty disk'. Let us know what happens from there, okay?

My dvr had a timing issue and said to check the IB? or BI? so I went to the setup and seen the IB menue,.. it was on DR-1 and I clicked on DR-2 and now I can't do anything using the reomote. It only works...

Go to the menu button on your dvr look closely it wil tell you what button to use. Once there go back to setup and undo what you did. After this go into the menu where it says restore to factory settings and restore it to the factory settings. This will resolve your problem.

wait for cable box to go completely thru startup procedure
...then try your list button again.

I have the gray Comcast DVR remote control-it is so unresponsive!

I called Comcast about this today and they had me turn off the TV, unplug the DVR, unplug the coaxle cable, wait a second, rescrew in the coaxle cable, replug in the DVR. It worked! The DVR is snappy like it used to be. Such a relief because it was soooo annoying. Good luck.

DISH DVR doesn't respond to remote

  1. If this is a TV2 location take the remote to the location of the DVR.
  2. Open the door on the right side of your receiver.
  3. Press SYS INFO.
  4. Press Record multiple times on your remote.
  5. Exit the screen and see if the remote works, if not replace the batteries and repeat steps 1-4
  6. If the remote still doesnt work, and this is a tv2 location (no receiver in the room with the tv) check the antenna on the back of your receiver, make sure that it is connected tightly and standing straight up.
  7. If none of this works call Dish and ask for a new remote.

Dvd eject button does not respond

Had a similar problem after loading a suspect dvd (one I had buned myself) Could not do anything - stuck at loading.
Try this :
  1. Unplug and wait 10 seconds
  2. plug it back in and wait 1 minute. DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTONS!
  3. With the machine still in the standby state, press eject on the REMOTE. It should eject without trying to read the disk.

Good luck. It worked for me.
