You log into the system owner's mailbox (999) and follow the prompts to edit the mailboxes. One of them will let you reset the password.

My phone says I have voice mail but I don't

You're apparently subscribed to a voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when people call while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

We have Panasonic KX-T7420 Switchboard but no voice message in the phone system, how do I add that into the system and the cost?

You add a Panasonic brand voice mail system. You can do it yourself, but it's easier to call a dealer. You have to have a specific issue software on your TD phone system and it requires programming, both in the voice mail and the KSU. I charge about $700 for the hardware and programming, your Pana dealer will probably charge about the same.

If you want to gamble, you can probably pick up a used TVS voice mail box for less than $400, but again, there are so many boxes that don't work. As a minimum, a TVA-50 would be best, since it's the current manufacture and it can be upgraded.

Our office has both T7420's and T7433's, and I'm trying to work on changing the initial voicemail message, as well as having each individual extension receive their own voice mail, password to access it,...

Voicemail passwords are in the VM system, not the phone system. You add and delete mailboxes and reset passwords from the VM owner's mailbox (999).

There is an installer's password to your TD phone system, it is controlled from the manager's or attendant's phone. If you don't know it, you can't mess up your system. The installation manula has instructions.

Need to change password on voicemail extension on

If it's a Panasonic brand voice mail, you administer the system from the System Owner's mailbox (999). With that, you can use option 4 or 5 and reset the mailbox password to any and all mailboxes (except 999 :-)

I have inherited a KX-T7633 and cannot access voice mail. the previous employee left the company. Can you help?

It depends on what you mean by "can't access". The Panasonic voice mail system is accessed by dialing the VM access code, sometimes 500 or 165, from the phone you want to use. If you, for example, are extension 105, and it has a voice mail box, the lady will either tell you how many messages you have, or ask for a password. If that's how you can't access VM because you don't have a password, then the password can be reset from mailbox 999, the system administrator's mailbox.

There are two passwords YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO HAVE. If you don't know the passwords to 998 and 999, then you will have to get them from the original installer, or call your Panasonic dealer. Alternatively, if you have the VM maintenance console password, you can reset 998 and 999's password.

How to set up password for voicemail/how to set up new mailbox

By default, a Panasonic TVA voice mail system can have a password set. It could be 3 plus the extension number, but it doesn't matter. You can clear it by logging into mailbox 999 and going to options 6 1 3 which will be the mailbox password menu. Select the lady's extension and follow the instructions to confirm password deletion.

Now she can call voice mail from her extension and set a new password.

This also works for a TVS system.

Voice Mail

There are two extra mailboxes in a Panasonic brand voice mail, one for the message manager and one for the sytsem manager.
You reset passwords from the system manager's mailbox. Dial into the system and key in the codes to get to the system manager's mailbox. and select option 6 1 1 and the mailbox number. One of the options will be to reset the password :-)

Voice mail

Did you have a password that is easy to guess? Someone may have changed your password on you. You will need administrative programming rights to the voice mail system to reset your password. Is there someone in the office that handles this or do you have a company make changes and additions to your system?
