How to share my Huawei mobile broadband connection over my network

I bought an IMac and an iPhone and a Huawei mobile broadband modem. I shared the Huawei connection sucessfully over Airport and ethernet to my Iphone and my Toshiba laptop on Vista. Then I bought a Time Capsule and used ethernet cable to connect to iMac.

Now I cannot get my iPhone or laptop to share my iMacs's internet connection. It connects to Airport OK but Safari wont connect to internet. Toshiba reports no internet connection on ethernet or Airport.

Tried :-
1. unplugging ethernet cable from back of IMac, still no good.
2. turning power off to Time Capsule, still no good.
3. setting iPhone to join Time Capsule Airport Network, no good.
4. setting iPhone to connect to IMac Airport Network, no good.

Time Capsule Airport is set to issue DHCP and anything ethernet I plug in happily received an IP address eg my iPhone, my Toshiba laptop, my Pioneer Blue Ray. Huawei is set to highest priority in network preferences. Got latest software versions for iMac and Time Capsule, iPhone 2 software in iPhone.

How has Time Capsule disabled my internet sharing from Huawei-on-iMac to iPhone, even when it is unplugged and physically powered down ?

How to use a cell phone as a wireless modem for xbox360 problem:

If you have a Windows PC, you can connect the Xbox 360 to it with an Ethernet cable and then plug the modem into the PC. Windows Internet Connection Sharing then lets you share the mobile broadband connection with the Xbox 360.

Unfortunately, the NAT settings for mobile broadband services are controlled by the provider. This will affect your ability to connect to Xbox Live or play games with other people.

Any questions leave me a comment or testimonial. Hope this helps.

Usb broadband modem

Im not aware of any gadgets, but you can always use the USB stick on one laptop, share the internet connection, and connect the other laptop throught the shared connection.

That would require your laptops to be networked, either by a crossed cat cable or with regular switching or routing.

USB Broadband to wireless router through desktop PC

If I get you right you are useing a 3g Internet connection and have a router wich conets the 2 computers together, the problem is that you can't share the internet connection.
Without any information about the operateing systems I can tell you the idea:
First you need to disable DHCP server on the router and use static IP addresses on both PC, the IP address should be something like

PC1:
IP: 192.168.0.2
Network mask:255.255.255.0

PC2:
IP: 192.168.0.3
Network mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.0.2

In this IP configuration above PC1 has the 3g modem connected.
This was the easy part, hard part is to share the internet connection on the network, that's a little different ritual on every operateing system, try to use google to get your specific one.

However there's a much more easier way to solve all your problems if you can't make it work, but it costs money. All you need to buy is a 3G router and that will do the same thing for you what your old router did.
I did a little search for you on Australian Ebay to see what you can get.
But I'm sure you have your own cheapbfavourite source of computer hardware as well.

Hope this will help you sorting out your porblem.

Imre

D-link cant accesed internet 4pc

Most of DSL modems are connected to PC with USB cable...
n if ur server is connected with other pc on lan .. you can use internet sharing option available in winxp.

Following are the steps to enable Internetsharing for other pcs.

How to use Internet Connection Sharing loadTOCNode(2, 'summary'); To use Internet Connection Sharing to share your Internet connection, the host computer must have one network adapter that is configured to connect to the internal network, and one network adapter or modem that is configured to connect to the Internet.

On the host computer loadTOCNode(3, 'summary'); On the host computer, follow these steps to share the Internet connection:
  1. Log on to the host computer as Administrator or as Owner.
  2. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
  3. Click Network and Internet Connections.
  4. Click Network Connections.
  5. Right-click the connection that you use to connect to the Internet. For example, if you connect to the Internet by using a modem, right-click the connection that you want under Dial-up.
  6. Click Properties.
  7. Click the Advanced tab.
  8. Under Internet Connection Sharing, select the Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection check box.
  9. If you are sharing a dial-up Internet connection, select the Establish a dial-up connection whenever a computer on my network attempts to access the Internet check box if you want to permit your computer to automatically connect to the Internet.
  10. Click OK. You receive the following message: When Internet Connection Sharing is enabled, your LAN adapter will be set to use IP
address 192.168.0.1. Your computer may lose connectivity with other computers on
your network. If these other computers have static IP addresses, it is a good idea to set them
to obtain their IP addresses automatically. Are you sure you want to enable Internet
    Connection Sharing?
  11. Click Yes.
The connection to the Internet is shared to other computers on the local area network (LAN). The network adapter that is connected to the LAN is configured with a static IP address of 192.168.0.1 and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0

let me know if it helps.

best regards,
