VoIP in this case is probably the way you'e going to have outside telephone numbers delivered to your premise. They usually come with boxes that you would plug a regular phone into and get dial tone, or in this case, you'll wire each Analog Terminal Adapter, ATA jack to the line side of a trunk in the DS-1000.

Since the DS has 3 lines per jack, you're going to either need an adapter that breaks out L1 L2 and L3 or someone who can wire a 6-pin jack and use a 6-wire modular to modular cord to break out your individual lines to the ATA's.

It's a fairly quick job if you know how to do it.

To transfer a call, do not press hold, but press Transfer. You will hear a studdered dial tone. Dial the number to which you are transferring. When you hang up, the call is transferred.
