There may be an error in communication between the scanner and computer. The easiest way to resolve this would be to ensure the device is securely connected to the computer and then recycle the power on both the scanner and computer.

Go into your control panel, and in add/remove software, or under programs & features, look for HP's Smart Web Printing. Uninstall it.
That's it, should FixYa right up!

It would be better for me to help you if you could mention more details, like operating system installed on your computer, driver etc.. Well, Do you have the driver's CD? If not, you can download them from HERE. On the download page, you'll need to select the Operating System, suppose if you have Windows xp installed on your computer, look down the lists and click "Windows XP", on the next page, you'll see the download links with the respective descriptions.
If you still have the CD, simply insert and when the autoplay starts, click "Install" and follow the onscreen instructions, connect the printer via usb cable when you are asked to connect it to the computer by during the installation.
But if you don't have the cd, download the correct driver (mentioned in the first para), run or install it and follow the onscreen instructions.

Just choose the correct operating system you are running and you'd be able to download the software for your printer.

Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer while its ON

now Press and Hold

Ok and Cancel button at the same time

While holding them plug in the power cord

Once the printer turns on release the buttons

You will see the Reset message on screen of your printer and in the process it will align the cartridges

Call Tech Support. You need a replacement for that. Ink Cartridges and Printheads have longer warranty life than the printer. And for the Ink Cartridges, they do have their own warranty so Tech Support might still be able to replace them. :)

1.Check if there is low ink level in cartridge

2. Check if there is any piece of paper stuck inside

3. Unplug the power cord while its ON , Press and hold OK and CANCEL at the same time, while holding them plug in the power cable and then release the buttons.
