How do you turn up the ringer volume on the Jitterbug phone. It's currently set on vibrate & I don't know how the volume got turned that far down.

Refer to the manual Sally :>D It may just be as simple as the Volume Up button on the side.

First, make sure your Jitterbug phone is turned on and open. While looking at the inside screen, adjust the volume by using the rubber volume button, which can be found on the outside of the phone. Press the top of the button to increase the volume and the bottom of the buttonn to decrease the volume. The inside screen will display the ringer volume level, which ranges from Vibrate to Max.

If the ringout volume is very low, then try not to select a soft, silent or low ringing tone. Try to choose a ringing tone that is loud so that you can hear your phone ringout.

“if unchecked will only vibrate when the ringer volume is set to vibrate”. Except that I always have my ringer volume set to vibrate (for phone calls) but don’t want the phone to vibrate when I get an SMS. So in the suggestion above, I’d choose ‘never ever ever…’, the middle option would relate to the current ‘unchecked’ setting, and the top option would relate to the current checked setting.
