I have a Kipor 6000 and the other day power shut down and red overload button came on. Unit still starts with no problem but red light is flashing. I have nothing connected to it now. Is there a way to reset this?Did not have much power being used at the time so didn't feel it should have been overloaded.

Oh, there are many people say the generator can not supply power. Maybe the fuel is not enough or other problems. I recommend you to buy diesel generator set in future, its quality is better and can use for a long time. A website for your reference: www.dieselgeneratortech.com

Read the instruction manual. If you are certain you did everything right and the generator does not behave as intended then return it to the supplier as faulty.

Its probably the cleaning light that comes on periodically to remind you to clean the unit. Shut off the unit AND when you do so hold down the power button for several seconds until the flashing red light shuts off. The cleaning light should stay off until the next cleaning is due.

Per the Air-O-Swiss FAQ:

Q: Cleaning light is flashing (AOS U650, AOS 7135, AOS 7142, AOS 7144, AOS 7147)
A: Switch the unit OFF and unplug it. Empty the water in the base. Rinse the base with hot/clean water. Do not submerge the base! Visually inspect the base for dirt or mineral build up. If soft water is used decalcifying the unit every 4 weeks with EZ Cal is suggested. If hard water is used the unit should be decalcified every 2 weeks. Do not forget to reset the clean light after resetting the unit.

Q: Reset cleaning light (AOS U650, AOS 7135, AOS 7142, AOS 7144, AOS 7147)
A: The cleaning light does not automatically reset. Hold down the power button (button A in instruction manual) until the light stops flashing. The light automatically comes on approximately 14 days after plugging in the unit.

most warning and alarm's are set less than what the manufacture rating is. it's a safety feature without it we would overload all our stuff

maybe your system has an overload protection circuits that automatically shuts it off when too much volume is detected.

The light flashing 5 times is the code for RPM sensor or motor overload. The RPM sensor is a small printed circuit board just in front of the motor. I would really doubt it is a motor problem unless you have been operating the opener enough that the thermal overload protector has shut it down. It will start running again as soon as it's cooled off.

The flashing red indicates that either the fileter cover or the lamp cover is not installed correctly. If both are installed properly and secured, the unit will require service.
