Connect with power cord and turn the projector to the standby mode.
Press the following keys on the control panel in the following order for less than in five seconds each: RESET, LEFT arrow key and RIGHT arrow key and then ENTER.(showing in the picture below)
(NOTE projector must be in standby mode and keys pressed less than five seconds)
now press power/standby key to ON the projector and check lamp hoursHow can i reset the lamp timer ???? Typ of beamer: - good_help_1.png

Hi,
You can reset lamp timer of VPL-EX3 by following procedure.
Connect power cord in wall socket, standby indicator will lit red.
Press following keys on projector remote.. RESET, Left arrow, Right arrow, ENTER
Lamp timer will reset.

Hi,
To reset lamp timer in Sony VPL-ES3,
Press following keys on the remote control in following order for less than 5 seconds each,
RESET, <<, >>, ENTER
This will reset lamp timer.

Holding left and right scroll while powering on and pressing menu did not reset lamp timer.

Set the projector in standby mode. Press the reset and enter buttons for about 5 seconds. That should reset the timer.---Rick

Reset Timer Lamp Sony VPL-HS60 projector

According to the manual, you need access to the RESET button, the left and right arrows and the ENTER button to clear the counter. Press the following in order for less than 5 seconds each:

RESET
Left Arror
Right Arrow
ENTER

The above sequence should clear the counter.

Sony projector - replacement lamp counter

Hello,
  • Set the projector in standby mode.

  • RESET,
  • <=== ,
  • ===>,
  • ENTER
Lamp timer is reset now.

This is also mentioned in user manual page 50

VPL-fx51 Sony projector "Please replace the lamp"

Hi there

It is quite easy to reset the lamp timer nd remove the prompt.

Start up the Projector and hold down the right and left scroll buttons on your remote and then press Menu.

This will reset the timer.

Reset Timer Lamp Sony VPL-HS60 projector

To reset the lamp timer:
1) With the projector plugged in and turned off, press the 'ON/STANDBY' button to put the projector in 'STANDBY' mode. NOTE: You have to press the button on the projector itself, you cannot use the remote for this step (this is not clear in manual).
2) Now, using the remote, press the following keys in order: RESET, <--, -->, ENTER.
3) Timer should now read '0'.
