Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6600SBT Top Load Washer Logo
Posted on Jan 31, 2011

My Whirlpool Cabrio is so out of whack that it will not wash a single load without going of balance. I am generally a Mr Fixit, so with the help of some web advice I opened the top and I removed the wash basket to see if there was anything stuck inside or behind it and found nothing. However, from both the top and bottom balance rings you can hear water sloshing around inside and none of it drips or oozes out of any holes anywhere. Are these factory filled with water then sealed off, or are they supposed to fill and empty with the wash? There are what appear to be fill/drain holes stamped in the plastic, but I am not going to mess with them until I know if they are sealed units. That is the only thing I can figure out that would be causing the balance problem. It used to wash fine but lately is horrible. Seriously one handkerchief will cause it to slam around all over the floor until it gives the UL error and stops.

Yes the balance ring is supposed to be filled with glycol..... these washers cannot runn bulky loades or single articles of clothing.... if the load your running is not coating the drum evenly the all the weight is going to be on one side of the tub which is going to spin vigrously uneven,,,

also cabrio washer top lids are very slanted which means u cant level the washer by using the top of cabinet .... put level on each side use split of cabinet top to bottom of cabinet as your straight edge for placement of level ... theb level front to back and left to right and check other side ... if it checks out level....then take a clear cup fill 3/4 with water and place 2 feet infront of washer and start washer spin cycle if you see any ripples in water in cup while washer is spinning the reinforce floor joist under washer ...

How do you remove the cover for Cabrio Platinum Top Load Washer to see if clothes have gotten stuck between wall & basket of washer. I can not wash one load without getting the UL Off Balance Code!

it is extremely unlikely that clothes have got to the position you mentioned
unbalance comes from
1--- clothes out of balance in the tub--too much on one side
2--machine not level on the floor --- rubber feet missing from adjuster bolts
3-- suspension rods and insulators for the tub broken or missing
these suspension rubbers/ plastics break on a regular basis and allow the tub to sit at an unlevel state causing an unbalance situation when spinning
top covers are either held in place with screws at the front and back ( under plastic trim buttons ) or simply clip on to the side walls at the top
talk with a service agent as to how to remove the top or download a workshop manual for the machine from the net

Whirlpool Cabrio H2low is not draining after wash cycle

please check owner's manual troubleshooting. I'd guess load is, was out of balance and shut down spin cycle early.

Why ?

do u have the wash load balanced , I noticed this in a lot of washer problems , people just throw the cloths in the washer without balancing the load , this is something that must be done on every washer and load , you must do this every time you use it , hope this helps ,

Off balance cabrio!

Check your 4 struts, you only had to re-fix your load when it became unbalanced. Better still check on 'youtube' with brand model for solutions. There are possibilities for re-selling the board. Hope this helps......

Whirlpool Cabrio washer is blinking uL HELP!

Hi. uL is displayed when the machine/motor control detects an off-balance load, and is steady on while the washer runs a mini-cycle to rebalanced the load. Display clears if mini-cycle successfully rebalanced the load. If the mini-cycle is unsuccessful, uL will flash until the door lid is opened, allowing the customer to view and redistribute the load.

Cabrio won't balance even empty

Check the four suspension rods on the outer tub to make sure they are not broken and/or out of placement.
