The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

I need an instruction booklet for Kodak EasyShare V1003

Hi there,

Here is a digital copy of the user manual for v1003 and v803.
http://resources.kodak.com/support/pdf/en/manuals/urg00665/V803_V1003_GLB_en.pdf

To download the manual to your computer, right click on the above underlined text and select Save File As, select the location you want to save it to and hit save.

if you are unable to open the document you need to get a reader program, one such free program is foxit reader available at http://www.foxitsoftware.com/downloads/

Its the first one on the page, under product downloads, Says Windows 32/64-bit and download right below it.

If you need further help let me know. I will respond as soon as I can.

Thanks,
Ekse

I was downloading my pictures from my kodak easy share v1003 to the easy share program. the camera was recognized the downloading showed up as downloading to a file foler by date. it finished downloading,...

I?ll be fine. All your original pictures are on the C drive. Unless you have changed the directory onto which you save when transferring: You can find the pictures under C-Drive, my pictures. The camera might need to be recharged. The camera doesn't charge from the computer while transferring pics. You will need to switch the camera off before the camera will start charging.

Downloading photos

If you are using Windows XP unplug your camera from your PC and uninstall the Kodak software. You don't need it to transfer photos to your PC. The next time you connect your camera (turn the camera on) to your computer it should recognize it and you can use Windows built in transfer software. Details are here:http://www.organizepictures.com/2006/11/5-easy-steps-to-transfer-your-pictures-using-windows-xp-photo-wizard

Lcd on v1003

The instructions work for both the V803 & V1003. They are basically the same camera, using the same LCD screen, the V1003 has a higher Megabyte resolution.
