Just replaced a women's Aquaracer battery. It's a 364. Get the SR (silver oxide type) as it will last longer.

I have a brand new watch: Tag Heuer aquaracer automatic calibere 5 model WAN2110 and the date is not advancing (as it should every 24 hours). Any reason why?

You are actually supposed to be using a special case opener for this type of watch, however, if you want to open it, always remember, righty tighty, lefty loosy!
I am pretty sure those watches are water proof up to 3 ATM, so once you open that watch, just know, if you don't get the back put on tight, it's going to leak.
Good luck, i know you can do it. Oh, and if you have ever had the watch in for service before, there are ALYWAYS **** watchmakers who like to over tighten the watch cases. My husband is a watchmaker, and we have seen this hundreds of times. :)

How to use Chronometer watch

Go to http://www.tagheuer.com/the-collection/aquaracer/man/calibre-s-chronograph/index.lbl?w=CAF7110.BA0803 and you will see your watch? and on the right is a menu with "user manual" in it. Down load the manual.

Battery Charge Life 10 years ago, not being able to afford a real TAG, I purchased a 'replica' Aquaracer Automatic in Bali. I am happy to say that I am now the proud owner of a real Aquaracer Automatic....

If you go to http://ww2.tagheuer.com/_documents/manuals/EI2246_en.pdf
you should arrive at the user manual for a Tag automatic watch which is similar to yours (an Aquaracer).

You will see that they claim 38 hour running when fully wound.

In view of the very small forces involved and the variations that occur in the manufacturing of the mechanism, I don't think that you should be surprised if there is a variation in running time.

If your genuine watch runs for a significantly less time thean they claim, you may have a reason to complain.

Hi, I've owned my aquaracer for 1.5 yrs and it has just started to run slow, I've had to reset it 3 times this week... does this run off a battery?

I think it depends upo which model you have but the web site does not discuss this.

Generally, if it says "automatic" then it is spring driven (does it stop if you don't wear if for a few days?).

If it keeps going, when not worn then i is a battery driven type.

You can see the range of models on their web site http://www.tagheuer.com/the-collection/aquaracer/man/leonardo-dicaprio-ltd-edition/index.lbl?w=WAJ2116.FT6022. and you may be able identify yours from their list.

My tag heuer aquaracer has a problem: the second hand stops and then speeds up really quickly for about 5 seconds. any idea why/how to fix it?

Your TAG is fitted with EOL (end of life) feature. This is the cause of that 4-5 seconds interval movement of seconds hand and thus indicating the time for battery replacement. The timekeeping is not affected by this- it is just warning to replace battery a.s.a.p.
Find your nearest watchmaker and ask for battery replacement.

Do not forget to rate, please.

My Aquaracer second hand problem

This is most likely the "battery change indicated" feature of your watch.  Change the battery, and see if the problem goes away.  If it does not, then it could be a problem with the stepper motor, which will require a watchmaker.  Of course all of this is dependent on the assumption that your watch has a quartz movement.  If it is an automatic, or mechanical you have bigger problems.
