2004 Honda Accord. Radio works fine but no backlight so can't see any screen dispaly at all for radio/CD player/air conditioning status etc. LED light just went out at 48000 miles. Desperate to know the fix. Is there any recall on this issue. Thanks

My 2003 Accord LX does the same thing. It started about 6mo ago and it becomes more and more often. I just went outside to kick the off from inside the wheel wells and the stereo came on.
If everything else is still working and the Fuse is good it is Because the Internal Lighting on the Head Unit is Burnt out. The only way to Fix this is to get a New Head Unit.
you have to take the radio out t fix this problem i believe its a small led light in the radio , get a small gooseneck map light and face it towards the radio to see the stations cheap fix . when you take out the radio you need the code to get the stations back it has a memory chip in it.mabey this helped
