I have the sharp model EL-W535. When I divide not whole numbers for example 9 divided by 5 they come up as fractions instead of decimals and i can change it from fractions to decimals but it's very time consuming how do i change it back. I tried using set up and then 1 then 2 which made the answers go to decimals but when i used change to see fractions it doesn't show

If a number is displayed as a fraction or a radical (square root or other roots) you change it into a decimal number by pressing the [S<=>D] key, just above the red [DEL] key.
If you do not care for fractions or radicals, you configure your calculator to display only decimals. To do that you press [SHIFT][MODE][2:LineIO].
Warning: If you do that you will not be able to enter fractions or radicals in the natural (textbook display)
Another way to display a fraction or a radical as a decimal is to press [SHIFT][=] to get the result not the [=] alone.

If the result is already calculated and displayed, press the [S<=>D] key It will convert a fraction or radical to decimal. This is always possible. If the result is decimal it may be converted to a fraction or a radical (Not always possible).

If the expression to be evaluated is still in the command line and you have not pressed the [=] key, you can force the result to be displayed in decimal format by pressing [SHIFT][=] instead of just [=].

More permanently. If you do n o care for fractions and radicals, set the Input/Outpout mode to LineIO. To do do press [SHIFT][MODE] to access the (SETUP) screen and select [2:LineIO]
