I can only help you in a general sort of way because you haven't said what make of range you have. Search online for a manual using: "user manual + your make & model". Which should get you several accurate hits. Alternatively try : Free Kitchen Appliance User Manuals ManualsOnline com

I don't know if you've found an answer to your query yet, but here goes:
Q1. Dowload the user manual, if you don't have a copy.
Q2. How do you obtain a copy?
Q3. Read instructions CAREFULLY, very tricky for a novice.
A1. Join yahoo group specific to the BRAND/MODEL of your unit or www.uniden.com and follow the links
A2. As above
A3. The manual describes in plain english the steps required under direct entry programming.
These units are the best uniden has made, especially for listening to P25 comms, if you're into that kind of listening.

I hope this is helpfull, I would have given you programming instructions myself, but it's quite involved and we don't have the space here.

Hi, David.

This unit does not have a TV tuner built in. It can record only from a video/audio source such as a satellite receiver or cable box. That's why you can't find anything in the manual about programming a channel. It doesn't offer that capability.

Not the answer you were looking for, but that's what they give you. The only solution I can offer is to keep your old VCR or pick one up at a thrift shop, and use it as the signal source. Program it to come on at the desired time on the channel you want, and use its video/audio outputs as the source for your recorder. Program the recorder to start at the same time.

Kinda klunky, but it would work.

Several ways to attack this problem
Sounds like you have some way-outdated drivers.
Try right clicking each USB device in Hardware Manager, and select update. This MAY help
Otherwise:
Download and install a Driver Finder program such as Driver Detective, then update all your drivers.

Try un-installing the DRIVERS for THAT DEVICE only, then shutdown and restart. See instructions below.
Click on the faulty device and hit the remove button, follow the instructions given by the program.
Shutdown, restart, the device will automatically reinstall by the "Found New Hardware" program.
If that does not work run install program again.

The remote for this model only works with RCA, GE and Proscan TVs.
