Machine fills with water then shows LE error. there was a spoon jammed against the element and lower spray arm. When i press cancel the machine empties the water. any solutions?
LE actually stands for "Lock (motor) error". The main pump motor is probably bad. It is able to drain because that is a different pump motor. If it was a problem with how the drain hose was run and it was draining out you would get a DE error "drain error".
LE error means level error (the d/w fills up but the water drain out at the same time somehow). I had a case once where the drain hose at the back of the d/w was resting on the floor to drain underneath the cust house. problem is like any drain hose it has to GO UP FIRST and then down to the ground otherwise the gravity will push the water out as the d/w fills up hence the LE error.
take care.
