I have an LG HT752-DH DVD player. But for some reason has decided to stop playing DVDs. It will play music discs and the cleaning disc but will not play a normal DVD. Please can anyone help me. Thank you.

There are several possible reasons why your DVD player is not playing movies, but is playing CDs. Here are some steps you can take to try to fix the issue:
Clean the disc: Sometimes, a dirty or scratched disc can cause the "no disc" error message. Try cleaning the disc with a soft, lint-free cloth, wiping from the center outwards. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasives.
Clean the DVD player: A dirty lens or other components in the DVD player can also cause problems with reading discs. Try using a DVD lens cleaning kit to clean the lens, or open up the DVD player and carefully clean any visible dust or debris.
Check the disc format: Make sure that the movies you are trying to play are in a format that is compatible with your DVD player. Some players may not support certain file types, such as Blu-ray discs or region-specific DVDs.
Check the connections: Make sure that all cables and connections are securely plugged in and functioning properly. Try using a different cable or port if possible.
Reset the DVD player: Some DVD players have a reset button or option in the settings menu. Try resetting the player to its default settings and see if that resolves the issue.
If none of these steps work, it's possible that there may be a hardware issue with your DVD player, such as a malfunctioning laser or drive motor. In that case, it may be necessary to take the player to a repair shop or consider purchasing a new one.
Hi, Did you also clean the disc's of dirt and finger prints. There are some discs that you will not be able to play. Ones that were made on certain computers.(format) In the manual it will list all dvd's you can play. even music CD's Good luck.
it could be the disc itself dvds really don't age that well a common problem is that one day they just decide to freeze and stop working even though they had only been played a few times the most extreme would be your situation. I would suggest trying newer dvds out if same problem occurs then it is a problem with the dvd player.
try playing a disc that you know it has played before. if it does play other dvds then your problen is that it cant read the format in wic dat specific disc u are inserting in there. if it doesnt ready any dvds then insert a music disc in there, if it does play it then u got to change the lens. there is also the possibility then the motor spinning the disc might have gone bad as well so when changing the lens, it is advisable to change the whole lens mechanism.
The reason the player wont play the disc is either because the lens is weak or dirty.
Try to clean the lens with a lens cleaner and test with a DVD disc.
If it does not work, then it means the lens is weak and needs replacement.
To replace the lens, open the player with the appropriate screwdriver, open the disc tray, and replace the lens with a new lens, test it with a DVD disc.
