Single oven fan is making loud vibrating noise. I've tightened screws and everything works - but too loudly to want to use it.

My Whirlpool single wall oven makes a loud vibrating noise while heating up and also at temperature. I am pretty sure it is NOT a fan.

Based on your description I believe you are hearing one of the elements vibrating as it heats up. As the voltage is supplied to the designated heating element vibration can occur if the element is slightly uneven in its cradle. If you are going to attempt to check the cradle for looseness please turn off the breaker to the unit before doing so. Check the feet on the lower unit and the hanging brackets on upper broiler if so equipped. There are some screws at the back that attach the elements check for tightness and alignment of the bracket. Sometimes people lift the element up to clean under it and it does not seat properly.
If you are in anyway not comfortable or don't find the cause, call a qualified tech.
Repeat....turn off breaker to the unit.

Hope this helps.
Best to you.

Flavel milano e50 cooker the oven is.making a very loud rattling noise. But it is still working. Any ideas what the problem is.

Hi,
It's not a fan oven, so there's no moving parts.
It must be a panel or component (such as a shelf) vibrating in the heat.
When it's cold have a good look at the inside & see if there are any screw heads you can tighten & any of the components which can be pushed tighter.

Also check the thermostat probes to make sure that they're not vibrating against the side or top of the oven.?
Best of luck

Magic Chef MCO153UBF microwave

There are two things that come to mind, the magnetron is starting to fail, or the strapping has come loose on the fan motor housing, unplug microwave oven and remove top, [several screws] carefully inspect the fan for any loose mounts and tighten.

When it comes on, it vibrates so loud can hardly hear over noise.

It sound like your fan is loose and needs to be tightened. Remove the four screws on the bottom of your unit, slide out and tighten the screws on top of unit. If you need to get in the unit remove the back screws, you will have to remove the temp sensor to remove the back panel. Remove the side panels on both sides. You should be able to get to the fan.

I have an electrolux icon double wall oven. I turned on the self-clean function for 3hrs and it making a very loud noise during the cleaning process. Is that normal?

yes, if the humming is not the loud sound then the fan may need some lubrication or if it is tripping the circuit it will need replacing , but if it seems like it is a viberating noise from the fan , then it could be that its bearings are bad , but the whole fan motor would still need to be replaced , but if it sounds like it just may be a loose fan motor , then tightening up the screws on the motor would stop the vibrating sound and or the fan blades from scraping metal( another sound you may be hearing )

Loud noise

If you mean a loud buzz that cuts on and off as the oven works, it is probably the outer metal cover vibrating as the magnetron powers up and down. Try holding/ pushing/ poking the metal cover while the oven is working, if the noise abates or goes away, this is the problem.
You may get relief by simply tightening the screws securing the cover, if not, maybe a little careful insertion of a thin strip of cardboard or similar, at the point the vibration occurs, may dampen it. Good luck.
