Error message The message reads "Disconnected cable found. Please confirm a connection line." What does this mean & what should I be looking for? Thank you.

Line error means that the phone is no able to detect a signal on the system that it is plugged into. There are a lot of causes of this. It could be a bad phone, bad cable, bad connection in the boxes in the wall or outside or the phone company may have disconnected it,

Test the wires with an ohm meter. A high resistance will fool the amp into giving you that message.

Solution:
You should first try to restart the printer.
If that doesn't resolve the problem, the ribbon cable is probably disconnected from the print head.

The led print heads are four assemblies that hang down from the lid of the machine when you open it. Make sure they are properly connected.

• Remove any pass-through devices from the phone line, and then try the fax again.
• Confirm that the fax/phone cable is no longer than required, and that it does not pass near unshielded electric motors such as fans, heaters, or household appliances.
• Try to send the fax at a different time when telephone line conditions have improved.

the problem is your printhead is bad . do a print test by presing both arrow buttons at tah esame time for two seconds, look fo rthe line that reads bad dots. if the value i sgreater than 000 yu have a bad printhead

just had the same problem. it turned to be the large black cable that goes from the control box to the head unit. hope that helps.
