I have a kitchenaid KPES100PM espresso machine and every now and then water will start leaking from underneath the machine.

when is the last time you descaled it? sometimes the build up prevents the overflow to drain back into the water tank or in the drip tray. Both areas need to be free of debris

Push the center top of the water tank in as far as you can without breaking it. Do this each time you refill.

Broken off black hose in reservoir tank - can I use the machine if I don't use the frother?

You can use the machine forever like that, the black hose is a return hose, it's there so water can return to the tank without you hearing it dribbling into the tank. The clear hose is the pickup hose.

KitchenAid Pro Line espresso machine leaking water onto counter after repeated shots

I keep hearing how this machine makes great crema but I'm about ready to toss my machine in the dump. It seems like the water comes out way too fast no matter how I work the grinds or tamp it. Can someone contact me about what might be wrong?

Won't stay on

If you mean the switch will not lock on then replace the switch and check for steam boiler leaks while you are there. Steam is the cause of most switch failures in this model.

Steamer/frother leaks and cannot be completely closed. I have been told that I must replace a rubber gasket on the espresso system. Is this correct?

Not a solution but a note. Kitchenaid got sold off to whirlpool and they almost immediately discontinued this model. I had two of them with the same issue, that of leakinghigh pressure lines. I can't even find an appliance repair facility that will touch this model because they can't get repair parts. Spent a lot of money on two espresso machines that don't work.

Kitchenaid pro line espresso maker 4kpes100pm1

Pro Line Kitchenaid appliances have a 2 Year Warranty on them from the date of purchase. Parts for the espresso machine, because they are considered "non-repairable," will be difficult to find. I would contact Kitchenaid Customer Service to see what they could recommend for you.

Their toll-free telephone number is 1-800-541-6390.

Kitchenaid proline espresso maker, model KPES100NP 2. Espresso boiler frequently discharges outside of unit instead of into removable tray.

I took out the water tank. Found a return discharge hole in the middle of the over hanging brewer body. It was in the middle of the deep indention.I placed a self adhesive folded plastic door weather stripping between the discharge hole and the brewer body. I used about 1 and 1/2 inches of the stripping. I made sure the fold was angled back away from the brewer. That seemed to force the water back into the water tank and my counter has stayed dry. I still get quite a bit of water under the catch tray, but if i clean it one every 20 pulls it has never over flowed.
