Hi,
Is there is any optical digital output in your satelite HD. Then connect that optical digital output of satelite HD to the optical digital input of your surround system (blue ray player) using an optical cable.
Then press the function button on the remote of surround sound system (blue ray player) and select D.IN. (D.IN means DIGITAL IN). You will get the audio through the surround sound system. if you need any more assistance fell free to contact me through fixya.
ok

I have dish network and would like to know the proper way to install this unit.

If you have HD TV it is best to hook up the DVD player separately. The easiest way to connect this is to find the cable going from the receiver to the TV and disconnect it from the TV. Connect this cable to the back of the DVD player where it says "in" or "input". Next take another cable and connect it from the DVD player output to the TV.

I have surroundsound. I have dish network with hd dvr. I have a sony bravia hd tv. I have a dvd player, and cd player. I have a magnavox dvd recorder. I want to record from my dvr to my dvd recorder. ...

To get the functionality you're looking for you'll need to to take the cable running from your DVR output and connect it to the input on your DVD recorder. Next you want to connect a cable from your DVD recorder output and connect it to your TV. If this is an HD set up you want to use HD Cables for all of the connections.

How do i install a dvd player with dish network

Hello, if your receiver and tv are HD you want this hooked up separately to get the best picture. If you just want it hooked up to standard definition then take the cable going from the receiver to the tv and connect it from your receiver to your DVD then connect one from your DVD to your tv.

How do u hook up the dvd player and dish network to your tv

If you have HD TV it is best to hook up the DVD player separately.

The easiest way to connect your DVD player with your TV, is to find the cable going from the receiver to the TV and disconnect it from the TV.
Connect this cable to the back of the DVD player where it says "in" or "input".
Next take another cable and connect it from the DVD player output to the TV. Once you've done this make sure your TV set is tuned to the proper input or source. Your DVD's should play when the receiver is off, however, you'll probably need your DVD player on to get the DISH signal.

Can i hook up to my satelite dish direct or do i have to go thru my receiver first. Thanks; Delmar [email protected]

The satelite dish will not pass-through the video/audio from your DVD player. You will need to find an open area (preferably DVD selector) on your receiver to input the DVD video/audio. Most satelite boxes are one way devices.

Satelite box --> Receiver (satelite input)--> TV
DVD Player --> Receiver (DVD Player input) --> TV

or

Satelite box --> TV
DVD Player --> TV
